This from a guy who drives a GTO looks almost exactly like a Cobalt, only bigger.

I read that yesterday pretty cool 3 GM vehicles were on that list. The Vette was near the top, which was awesome too.

What, you wish he'd fall asleep at the wheel and die in a crash or wish he'd buy it. If its the former, I'd suggest you take your *** off this forum, thank you.

Re: Cobalt SS beats Corvette, TT, GXP Solstice, Nismo Z, 135i, Mini, Elise SC and S2K

[this is the same engine that vaulted the Solstice GXP into the top 10 over its normally aspirated sibling. But also the work done by GM's Performance Division on the car, including some heavy track time at the Nürburgring, pays huge dividends in the fun department. Not only is the car quick (0–60 in 5.5 sec.), it sticks as shown by its 0.92g on the skidpad and 72.4-mph slalom time. Throw in launch control, no-lift shifting and a range approaching 400 miles all for a sticker that's under $25,000 and you have fast and frugal defined.

Price As Tested $23,490
MPG 22 city/30 highway/26.0 average
0–60 mph 5.5 sec.
Slalom 72.4 mph
Quarter Mile 14.0 sec. @ 101.8 mph
Skidpad 0.92g
60–0-mph Braking 117 ft.
Tank Capacity 13.2 gal.
Theoretical Maximum Range 396 miles
Cost to Fill $52.80
EPA Estimated Annual Fuel Cost $2364

This little car will be a riot to drive. The performance of this little rocket ship is outstanding.

Price As Tested $23,490, sweet!

Nice job GM.

What a stupid test.

I'm not reading the article, but based on the premises of the test, it must be entirely based on subjective results. How do you compare economy to performance, what is the deciding factor? The equation? Seems foolish. Cool car, just this is a stupid test.

This is the best small car out there.
When is GM going to advertise their 36MPG cobalt. I am seeing Hyundai boasting of 33 Mpg.. saying its better than corolla..

I wouldn't mind owning one if I could castrate myself enough to own a FWD I4 economy car...

Shudders...

Same. The Cobalt SS for a 4 is a screamer, unfortunately I can't deal with anything less than a 6.

i think this car is cute and beautiful. the coupe has nice tail lights and wing. i don't like much about the sedan though cause of the different set of tail-lights. you said it's ugly? i want to know what your drive?

oh, just find out that 2 guys posted with negative comments, they don't show what cars they driving, probably don't have one, lol....

I've never liked the sedan, I do like the coupe, save for the front clip, but it is better on the Turbo and former Supercharged, the 3/4 view is nice and the rear is really good, and that 2.0 turbo motor rocks! I loved it in the Sky Redline and I'm sure it's a blast in the Cobalt also! No wonder they are considering putting it in the Camaro, I would like to see them extract 20 or 30 more hp first though.
