I swear, blindly using displacement to judge an engine must be the easiest way to tell a car n00b. I almost want to go make an account just to call them out on blindly using stereotypes. How is an L76 physically larger, heavier, or thirstier than a comparably powered DOHC V8? Say BMW's 4.8, which makes the same top end power, but less low end power and less mpg. And I'd bet its more expensive to make, without being significantly (if any) lighter (and don't forget c.g of the weight). ok I feel better now (takes deep breath) ![]() |
