Re: C&D Preliminary CTS-V comparison test
Wow......I thought the CTS was a pseudo-porker......looks like the S6 is just as bad off....
![]() You can see from the M3 & M5 descriptions though how those C&D guys still love to cream over BMW though.....(the more things change, the more they stay the same) ![]() I do love their suggestion though on how to keep the STS-V from being overshadowed in the showroom... Quote:

Re: C&D Preliminary CTS-V comparison test
the STS needs to be totally reworked before GM tries to make a new STS-V
But the CTS-V is going to be awesome.. the M5 isnt going to have a chance! |

Re: C&D Preliminary CTS-V comparison test
Wonder if it will keep the current engine or move over to a different one

Re: C&D Preliminary CTS-V comparison test
If the supercharged 4.4L wasn't such a PITA to produce, I'd say keep it.....for an engine lineup that consists of the 3.6L LLT (302HP/272lb-ft), the aforementioned 4.4L Supercharged Northstar and then the ZR1's LS9 V8 for a V-series model

Re: C&D Preliminary CTS-V comparison test
Have to have more power then the CTS-V, but I guess they could do the V12 I mentioned with twin turbos

Re: C&D Preliminary CTS-V comparison test
or they can do something similar to mercedes by offering a V8 and a V12, the V8 would compete with the S 63 and the V12 with the S 65

Re: C&D Preliminary CTS-V comparison test
What is frustrating is that this mags compare the V to the M5/E63 yet the non-V car is compared to 3/C/etc.
The CTS handles and drives great in non-V form, so why wouldn't it be that good or much better in V form? IS-F looks like a good value for performance also, yet its a smaller size. Its frustrating that Cadillac cannot sell many cars over 50k and if it does its a heavy discount, low sales, or like CTS-V clearly above competition yet priced below it! It bugged me that a N/A V10 is more 'advanced' in their eyes than a more powerful in every way S/C V8...just more koolaid for Stuttgart and company? CobaltSS

Re: C&D Preliminary CTS-V comparison test
I think the STS-V is the best looking of all the models with the Lexus and BMW at the bottom. I, if I could afford it, buy the CTS-V. To me it's a four-door Z-06.
