Acadia, Outlook And Enclave Mpg

http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/dir...ew/.ef7f8ce/20

I'm in the market for this size vehicle, and thought it was intreresting
reading many peoples thoughts on what they thought the was good
mpg for a vehicle this size. So I browsed the internet for comparision
vehicles and came across a forum on the Honda Pilot and the real world
numbers people have been getting out a smaller vehicle then the lambdas.

the numbers for fwd on the lambs is 17/25 epa of coarse
the Pilot is 17/24

take a look at what people are really getting out of these vehicles and
stop complaining. my current ride is a Vue awd v6 and it doesn't get
much better then the outlook.

I think GM did great with such a large vehicle
and I will be a proud owner of the Acadia or the Outlook

The Lambda's should be a big success. If people bought the Aztek, tons of people will buy these.

Re: Acadia, Outlook And Enclave Mpg

That's a projected mpg rating then I can just imagine real world ratings. This is not good enough because one of the biggest reasons for this midsize crossover was fuel consumption. Don't get me wrong it is a very nice looker. I think if gm was going to eliminate the trailblazer for these they did it for cost cutting for themselves not fuel savings for the consumer. A uni body suv is cheaper to build than full frame one. I really hope more will be done to improve gas mileage so these new models don't get passed up on as gas hogs.

Re: Acadia, Outlook And Enclave Mpg

I think what alot of people miss is the fact that the lambdas are significantly larger then the pilot and are about a size of a tahoe. The pilot which is a smaller vehicle with less power gets the same fuel consumption ratings as the lambdas. And its not being redesigned for at least another 2 years, and is currently the only cross over besides its Acura twin that offers third row seating as standard. Toyota offers it as an option on the highlander and Rav4.

A new 34k+ Acura RDX (4 cyl turbo, 2 rows seating) gets 23 mpg Hwy.

Re: Acadia, Outlook And Enclave Mpg

The TB's EPA ratings are 15/21 with the six. So the Outlook's numbers are substantially better. Especially the highway number (probably thanks to the six-speed auto).

As soon as I see pricing, I'll get it into my database.

Real-world fuel economy survey will launch by the end of the month.

Re: Acadia, Outlook And Enclave Mpg

At the NY autos how, the production Outlook was there.

The interior was nice on the Outlook, but I was dissapointed with the exterior..esp the nose of the car which was too flat.

The Enclave concept I like a lot more.

Re: Acadia, Outlook And Enclave Mpg

17/25 isn't bad when you consider the size and weight of the Lambda trio. I hope that the real world mpg is close to the estimate. The Acadia will most likely be my next vehicle.

LOL!! They will be seen as gas hogs? LMAO! I am not trying to be funny but come on dude have you looked at the MPG numbers for other suv's with less space? They get about the same or worse!

Well maybe they should have made it smaller and lighter! A 1 or 2 mpg improvement wrt the mid-size SUVs ain't gonna cut it. GM should have aimed for 25mpg combined instead of just barely meeting the new 22mpg (I don't have the exact number, sorry) CAFE standard. Try to exceed the customer's expectations. The Lambdas do look nice though.
