Re: 11 Worst Cars

This list is just plain stupid.

I can't believe there are actually people out there that still use consumer reports to make their buying decisions.

Well they can call it whatever they want, but if you test a vehicle that was designed to be used as an offroad vehicle, and then rate everything but it's offroad ability, what kind of bullcrap test is that?

Of course the Jeep sucks at being a Lexus like cruiser, becuase it's a F%$*(&G JEEP.

Consumer Reports compares all vehicles to a toaster. The vehicle that functions closest to an appliance wins. Hence, the Camry and Corolla are always best picks in CR's nerdy little minds.

Re: 11 Worst Cars

I'm really having a hard time dealing with the fact that Consumer Reports, Edmund's, and Motor Trend have all turned to absolute crap. There are so many people out there quoting their articles THINKING that they know what they are talking about it is crazy.

Now, I'm not a Toyota Fan by any means, but, if every other magazine I've read, the Yaris leads its class in pretty much every category other than interior. Having seen performance numbers, especially fuel economy, handling, and acceleration, I find it hard that the Yaris could be on the list as the Fit and Versa not be. It outperforms them hands down. It's still a POS, but it's better than they are. lol.

Re: 11 Worst Cars

HAHAHA What a bunch of dolts. How could the automatic Yaris get over 33% better score than the manual, ESPECIALLY if acceleration was a big minus.

I'm reminded of why I don't get CR.

Re: 11 Worst Cars

I have to agree with most of the list except the Yaris, I thought it was a decent for an economy car. Surprisingly I thought the Cobalt would be there instead of the Yaris. . Then again this is CR, not everything makes sense in their world.

I have driven a Jeep Patriot several times. It is not one of the 11 worst cars.

Re: 11 Worst Cars

I find it odd that people pay actually MONEY to read what CR has to say. Maybe I should quit my day job and start selling my opinion, because people today are too retarted to have their own; they'd just as soon pay somebody else for theirs.

I would argue that mentioning the Grand Marquis isn't relevant in the first place, let alone the fact that it doesn't have stability control. The Panther Cars were around way before stability control ever became common and they have never been regarded as terribly unsafe cars in spite of this. In fact, I would venture that the Panther Cars are still safer than a number of cars that do have things like stability control or side air bags simply because they're bigger and heavier than most cars out there, save trucks and SUVs. In any case, even though the Grand Marquis and the other Panther Cars may still have some following it still seems like a waste of time for CR to give them any attention since it's a known fact that the cars are going to be discontinued in just a few short years.
