If you're referring to the porky-looking Del Sol, I totally agree. I can't believe Honda thought that would be a suitable CRX replacement!

Re: SEMA 09: Honda Old School

I like those old little Civics (like the last picture shows.) If I could find one in that condition I would consider purchasing it. When I was very young I remember one of my parents friends purchased one of those used. I remember looking at it many times. My parents at that time had a 1983 Buick Skylark. I remember my mom wanting one of those Civics. That Civic ran strong well into the mid 90's and was used by that family friends two daughters. I wonder whatever happened to that car.

I worked with a guy whose 86 CRX Si had a pine tree fall on it while he was driving. Hit right behind the seats and squahed the hatch down to the fenders.

Since it was brand new, they rebuilt it.

They were stronger than they looked.

Well, we might be getting the CR-Z, which looks and acts like the CRX. The CRX was a great little car at the time. I always wanted a black Si.

Honda made some fun cars once upon a time.

I agree. That's why I bought an Astra, practical, sporty, good gas mileage. I always liked the CRX and Civic hatches too. Honda of all people should still be making these cars.

They didn't excite me then and still don't today. I will hand it to H, they have come along way from that POS they used to import over here.

Not my cup of tea, but nice to see an autobuilder respect it's heritage. (are you listening Detroit autobuilders?)
