that's not a bad idea. i'm getting sick of these 'G' series things. pontiac either has a G something, or vibe, solstice, torrent....there's no "consistency". if they were to name all the pontiacs a snake name would be pretty neat. they may want to stay away from "the rattler", people may think that means it makes a bunch of noise.
Pontiac Anaconda, Pontiac Copperhead, Pontiac Cobra, Pontiac King Cobra, Pontiac Asp

Re: SEMA 08: Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe Concept

Nice to see that if the Trans Am anniversary editions are no longer around that the White with blue Stripe is getting some usage still.

So can anyone clarify, is the Solstice Coupe still coming out even with all the GM problems or has it been relegated to the land of LIMBO forever?

Nice. I like it better than the convertible. Targas and T-tops always made more sense to me than full convertibles. You get the wind in your hair when you want it and the security of a solid top when you don't.

Out of all the colors that is offered on the Solstice, I think white looked the sharpest. And the stripes just add to it.

Disagree ... I consider that color scheme sacred and I don't like Pontiac using it as a pseudo replacement for the early Trans Am.

Re: SEMA 08: Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe Concept

I like it with the white with the blue stripe. It just looks "fast" to me. Then someone chimed in with the Trans Am blue and white scheme, and it occurred to me that is why I like it

Pontiac as a company is dead. Hard to sell cars for a company that doesnt exist.
G8 models and Solstice will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Not till around 2014.
The Firebird isn't even around anymore to kick the camaro's a$$ and you still have to vent your anti pontiac garbage. You would think contributors to this site would have to have a bit more class.

Re: SEMA 08: Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe Concept

I thought the concept was unattractive. Jazz, in Transformers, wasn't any better... And this is even less so.

I'm glad only the bucktooth walrus Solstice is getting this variant and not the much sexier and sleeker Sky.

I disagree, the best looking Trans Am of all time,1969 was only available in blue on white.

If you had two bits of common sense you could deduce what he is trying to say... GM plans on getting rid of Pontiac after the current cars' life cycles. Listen, think, and then respond.
