Re: SEMA 08: Pontiac G8 GXP Street Concept
I kind of like the more squished grills, but the front fascia is just...BAD!

Re: SEMA 08: Pontiac G8 GXP Street Concept
I actually might have seen this particular model a few months back. I was on my way home from CTC when i decided to stop by Prefix (they are a local assembler that make concept cars) anyway I was in a parking lot across from them and there were two G8's one normal red G8 and a gray G8 that everyone was gathered around. i wish i could've gotten a shot but unfortunately the car was blocked from view

The performance upgrades are awesome. The looks are horrible. Hate the front end. Hate the wheels.

Have to agree with you on the wheels. I am not feeling the love.

Re: SEMA 08: Pontiac G8 GXP Street Concept
So theoretically, you could buy a G8 GXP, and drop a wad and have the big fat engine put in? Is the engine smog legal, and can I keep the Air Conditioning?

Re: SEMA 08: Pontiac G8 GXP Street Concept
I'd think that the smog nazis would frown upon the carburator. The SEMA car runs a custom EFI kit. I'm would bet that an EFI version will be for sale shortly after the carbed model starts. I'd also imagine that the A/C could be retained. The engine block is of LS architechture. So, if the LS7 would fit in there, so would the LSX454.

Re: SEMA 08: Pontiac G8 GXP Street Concept
This car looked so much better in person.....I saw it this week. The bumper opening didn't seem so exaggerated as the pictures portray. Although I did suggest that it could function very well in Colorado........as a plow.
The actual car is very, very nice in person. And as mentioned any LS engine will drop in the GXP. For sure you will see LS7 and even LS9 versions shortly from many tuners. |
