I'm really liking the dovetail rear spoiler on the Earnhardt edition. Not sure about the rest of the ground effects package, though.

Re: SEMA 08: GM Shows 4 Camaro Show Cars

if all goes well im sure these would be available special editions. other than the racer they look ready to sell. no crazy wings and ground effect overkill-perfect. awesome job! i wish Nascar cars looked like that racer....

Thanks!
It just proves that GM could have pulled off a better product placement than MY OWN WORST ENEMY, which has been a joke (speaking of the Camaro). They were advertising how the Camaro was going to be in the show but after the pilot episode, we are to a Camaro Sightings score of 0, Zero, Ziltch, Zip. We've seen the Traverse in every episode though....

Re: SEMA 08: GM Shows 4 Camaro Show Cars

WHAT IN THE H#LL!?!?

i was wondering where all the cool after market camaro show cars were! then i do a quick net search and keep seeing all the ok- kinda cool GM Camaro show cars for SEMA. so i go to edmunds, remembering how the new Camaro is supposed to be the main focus of SEMA this year. and what do i see?

"Rhadigan emphasized that there will be no aftermarket or "partner vehicles" done for SEMA when it comes to Camaro this year. "GM will do all the concepts," he said. "It will give upfitter companies a good visual of the possibilities." He added: "Upcoming SEMA shows will have a heavy Camaro presence." (end quote)

what type of dumb a$$ GM logic is this?!? when the new mustang was about to drop, Ford gave at least 10 after market companies mustangs to play with let alone what they brought!

people have been hungrily waiting on a new Camaro for YEARS!! and when the opportunity for GM to dominate the market with a plethora of after market support, they hog and in effect limit the opportunity by releasing 4 in house concepts with what is in effect the same dang body kit on 4 different cars with nothing to make them stand out except paint jobs?!?!? are they serious?!?

now i am CERTAIN that GM management has no clue!!

I can tell you that several well known automotive aftermarket parts makers have had access to Camaro. GM wanted to have the floor to themselves.
Camaro's aftermarket will be massive in one year.

not if there is no public showing of the customizable options that are available for the Camaro. I've been a hardcore F-body lover ever since i first took interest in cars. and I'm sure you noticed that if you look in ANY Mustang of Fast Fords magazine, OVER half the magazine is aftermarket advertisements! look in a GM magazine, of any type and tell me how much Camaro specific parts you see...not much!

now when it comes to the small block Chevy or LS series engines, GM IS king with the aftermarket. but when it comes to the Camaro specifically, as a Fan boy, i can tell you there's not much out there, other than engine mods and a few drive train parts.

when it comes to Rustangs, an owner can customize his stang to what ever his heart desires, with FULL aftermarket support, when it comes to the Camaro's of the past, you better get your blow torch and your best body man together, because you'll find that you're going to come up VERY short.

Agreed, there isnt muchout there for body mods, but you know what...good! Fbody mods tend to revolve around performance and handling whiile Mustang's have it all around.
Third and 4th gens didnt lend itself much to aftermarket body kits...its a very hard design to add to.
