Re: Renault Sandero: A Logan for America

I really like the idea of basing an affordable car off the last Clio, which by all accounts has a pretty handy little vehicle in its time. It certainly holds more attraction than stepping into the unknown of a Chinese compact. It is kind of attractive for a small car, though I know that I don't fit in a Clio.

Re: Renault Sandero: A Logan for America

It's tipped that Nissan's South African arm will assemble all RHD Sanderos.

They need something in the Pretoria plant... currently only the old-body Nissan Pickup is assembled.

I think the Sandero is neat and tidy-looking. For the price, it's unbeatable... the last penny postcard left on Earth!

I like the look of this thing. The perfect car to unassumingly run about the French countryside in buying crates of wine......

Re: Renault Sandero: A Logan for America

Oooh oooh ooh! I saw a Sandero today! It passed in front of me and then I followed it for a few minutes through town. Honestly, it looks quite nice. Has more presence than I expected. Something about it looks light and airy and agile. I dunno... I was expecting a drab little tin can, but I was very pleased with how it looks in person. The rear end is very tidy. I can see this car becoming a hit, seeing how popular the totally boxy Logan is!

I saw one today. I got that "VW Polo - surprisingly ordinary prices" moment. This is a car that you see for the first time, and before you get excited, every other cell in your brain goes "so what"?

Perhaps the driver was a artistic gymnast?

another factor to consider, will it cannibalize sales of the Versa and Sentra?
There the possibility then Sandero/Logan, if it came in Canada and the United States, might wear another badge/logo like a Ram head or a pentastar instead of the losange logo or the Nissan logo....thanks to some agreements with Chrysler a couple of months ago.

Bravada- Are you able to access global auto index's website? I am not and haven't been able to for a while now.

Re: Renault Sandero: A Logan for America

The Hungarian company that ran Global Auto Index decided not to support the service anymore - so much for GAI
