Re: NYIAS 09: 2010 GMC Terrain
this isnt rebadging, this is platform sharing, BIG difference. the venture and montana were rebadges. all companies share platforms. you know how many lexi and toyotas share a platform?

Re: NYIAS 09: 2010 GMC Terrain
Well, good or bad at least this thing is stirring up emotions.
As for me, I think it serves its purpose very well. A mini tahoe built on an Equinox platform that doesn't look like an Equinox at all (at least on the exterior). Well done if you as me expecially since this will be a lower volume vehicle then the 'Nox so I think its okay to have love it or hate it style. |

Re: NYIAS 09: 2010 GMC Terrain
you still dont get it. the things i pointed out are very similar in nature, the headlights are rotated 90 degrees, the rear most windows look the same.... I do realize the all cars have mirrors, headlights, and all but they dont need to look almost the same.

Re: NYIAS 09: 2010 GMC Terrain
here is the gmc terrain and the caddy srx notice how alot of the things i made lines on seem similar. Its as if one was a mid life product cycle update.
![]() here is another pic of the gmc, caddy and hummer notice the differences between the gmc and the hummer no shared look a like here. so if gm can create a hummer that does not look like anything else then why cant they do it for the other divisions. ![]() Last edited by Caleb02 : 04-05-2009 at 11:28 PM. |

Re: NYIAS 09: 2010 GMC Terrain
Okay, that I lol-ed at.
Look buddy, I get the fact that you see similarities...but it's pretty obvious that nobody else does. I doubt the average consumer is going to see this car and instantly accuse the salesman of trying to sell them a rebadged last-gen SRX.

Re: NYIAS 09: 2010 GMC Terrain
The Chevy doesn't look like the GMC...and you're pretty much the only one who thinks it looks like a Cadillac...so...

They are selling to older, more affluent folks with a kid on the way and a dog and enough wisdom to understand that unique usually doesn't mean better. If GM wanted to do it right, it would have built a Honda Element and not a crossover with bulgy fenders and no backbone. The Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot, Pontiac Aztec, Isuzu Vehicross, and the more recent Ford Flex. All either proven or pending market failures, and all "unique" utility vehicles with polarizing styling that may work well in focus groups but turns out to be an epic failure everywhere else. This is the ugliest car that I've seen in years, and it doesn't appear to have a good angle.
