Re: NYIAS 08 Preview: 2009 Acura TSX

The beltline looks like a new Focus, the upper grill looks like a Tribute..

Looks ALOT like the Accord. Its not bad, but doesn't differentiate enough.

I am really not liking the new front end styling for Acura. Its gaudy.

It looks far better without the US Acura grille (meaning the Honda grille).

Someone needs to slap Acura in the face and tell them to ditch that grille.......

Re: NYIAS 08 Preview: 2009 Acura TSX

I think it looks pretty good, but its more evolutionary in the styling then I would have liked to have seen.

Mechanically, I think the NA engine is fine. However, I do think they should have offerred SH-AWD as an optional extra. One thing to keep in mind is that the TSX is a pretty affordable car. Optioned similarly, it will be cheaper then a Saab (and obviously Cadillac).

I don't see myself ever buying a TSX, but I can see the appeal to other folks. It seems like a better execution then the US Accord, which has gotten really big and "Americanized."

I don't think so.

Re: NYIAS 08 Preview: 2009 Acura TSX

This redesign sucks. Bland, boring mess. It reminds me of the current US-market Focus. Nothing short of a diesel version at no more than $30K sticker could get me to bite.

They are looking at using it in the TSX and MDX. I have heard the Accord will also get it. GM should definitely have a diesel Malibu or Aura.

Acura is a brand that has lost its way. I don't think that there are 2 models of the brand that have the same grill. Acura is in an identity crisis.

Re: NYIAS 08 Preview: 2009 Acura TSX

Acura designs haven't been especially enticing lately - but their interiors are very nice.. The build quality is very high as well.. I'm not crazy about the front fascias of the Acuras either. The European Hondas do look better from the front..
