Absolutely right, nothing we can do about it now though. Might as well make Pontiac Holden all the way and get rid of the stupid twin kidney grill transplant. The Holden's look better and Pontiac is dead. It would be great if we could get some HSV models here.

I thought Pontiac was getting out of the truck business. This truck would be better if it were a Chevy El Camino.

I agree! An El Camino has been and forever will be a Chevrolet. Pontiac needs to get a new name for the Car/truck.

Re: 2010 Pontiac G8 Sport Truck Uncovered!

Did we learn nothing from the GTO name fiasco. No El Camino!! It should be its own name as the past has showed us. The GMC was not called an El camino so why should a Pontiac have a Chevrolet Iconic name. It should relate to the El Camino(the road) and be called the TARMAC. It represent the launch of a new era in Pontiac and the rebirth of a classic. Plus, it has a built in nickname as the Gto had the tiger the TARMAC would be a Cam Rat for all the Hot Rod fans. We should have a poll for the names. My vote is the TARMAC

Took the words right outta my mouth. I understand the G8 and all and that's what it is, but the Torrent is going to GMC because of that I thought anyway. How hard would it have been to design a GMC front clip and give it to them? Or is GMC getting the Denali XT?

This looks good. Not to Nitpick, but I think it would have looked a bit better with a slighly shorter bed.

Re: 2010 Pontiac G8 Sport Truck Uncovered!

So this is what we get after Pontiac spends millions of dollars on marketing to declare that "Pontiac is Car"?

So Pontiac is Car with truck bed, but Pontiac is not Car with manual transmission DI V-6.

Agreed. I don't think they will call it El Camino. Even GM isn't THAT stupid.

I have a question, why are there 4 window switches in the center console?

Good catch. They are just using the G8 console for the concept. A member on another forum let this detail out several days ago. Said we'd get a kick out of seeing 4 window switches in the concept.

What I'm more upset about is in that photo, WHY IN THE H3LL IS THE FLOORBOARD ALL DIRTY WITH DUST AND ROCKS??? Jeesh GM ever hear of a vacuum??? Or how about floormats?

Also take a look at the greasy fingerprints on the display screen. YIKES, Windex GM, go buy some. Whoever "prepped" this car for the interior shots needs to be FIRED. Maybe GM needs to call me up to prep their vehicles for photoshoots.
