It looks bland, ugly and too much like a Tiburon.

Well, Korean cars are starting to look Japanese.

...and with the Accord, Japanese cars are starting to look Korean.

Neither is appealing.

Not bad at all. I'm not a fan of Hyundai's gauge clusters and after seeing the tach on this one, the Genesis Coupe is no exception.

Re: NYIAS 08: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Well, Hyundai started off by copying Ferrari with the Tiburon...

Front-end is horrible. Rear 3/4 is Acura copy, old generation...Lexus here and there...Problem is it is not cohesive. Even greater problem is Hyundais usually do not look as nice in person as in pics. GM seems to have the opposite problem.

Re: NYIAS 08: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Man I can't belive some of the FUGLY designs that get green-lit these days! Ugliest car Hyundai has ever made and WILL be seen as nothing more then a fat Tiburon. I too was keeping an eye on this car sence people started comparing it to a Mustang but now I don't see any hope for it (not that I wanted too see any).

I'm going to disagree with very nearly everyone here so far. I like it and can't wait for it to come out.

Re: NYIAS 08: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Putting aside that it's a Korean car, I think it looks pretty good. I'll agree that the design draws cues from other coupes, but so does nearly every car on the road. That said, it looks more like a G37 coupe than anything else. People here seem to seem to like more "elegant" styling, as opposed to this car's chiseled, athletic look (look at the lines in the hood and along the length of the car, the sharp head/tail-lights, etc). It's not as exciting as the concept, but I don't think it's as boring as some of you make it out to be.

Well, I guess I'm in the minority because, with the exception of the curvy bottoms of the rear windows, I like it -- a lot.

It looks like a Tiburon that was left out in the sun to melt.

Re: NYIAS 08: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

It looks very sharp -- alot better than the Tiburon. I think it will do very well in the sporty coupe market. But I'm biased towards RWD

Re: NYIAS 08: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

why does it look so Tiburon? i'd have thought they would want to differentiate its styling a lot more from their bargain bin coupe.

Thats what i was thinking. I don't see this doing anything other than getting tiburon owners back to the showroom. Heck, it looks so similar to the old one that they may even divert to another car!
