Re: NYIAS 08: 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe
Wow! I love it. I think this is one of the best looking vehicles out there and at a price point half of what much of the competition is at. I have a Solstice GXP now but see myself getting into one of these next year.

Re: NYIAS 08: 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe
I hear ya. Overall, I like the vehicle, and I might even buy one. However, there are some slightly awkward elements... little things like the way that the integrated rear spoiler partially overlaps the taillights. It has a bit of a "pasted on" look.

Re: NYIAS 08: 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe
Is there a sexier angle on any car out there right now? That's beautiful! I think this will be a great addition to the Pontiac lineup. A cover for the cargo area would be nice. I like that there's a soft foldable top available. I like this better than a removeable hardtop... that would just be another convertible Solstice, while this is a different beast.
My only worry is getting in and out of the car... are those the same side windows? The roof looke VERY low... tall people would have some trouble, no? I personally wouldn't be all that bothered by having little trunk space, so I could easily live with this car.

Re: NYIAS 08: 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe
Yikes... after looking again there's very litle head room in that thing. I think the B pillars and roof section behind the seats would be very confining and claustrophobia-inducing... I don't know how much I'd like having my head close to those big solid components. I could see that being a crash-test concern. Love the looks... just curious about how much space there is for ones noggin!

Re: NYIAS 08: 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe
Finally a GM product, besides the corvette that looks like nothing else.
The only thing it reminds me of are some Italian coupes from the 60's. This car is pure sex. |

Re: NYIAS 08: 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe
Great looking! It has some very nice angles.
Shame they couldn't make some refinements to the interior though. With a current GXP starting at $28.5K, I wonder what a GXP coupe will start at? If there's a price break for the coupe (doubt it...), I'd seriously consider buying one. |

Re: NYIAS 08: 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe
This goes a long way in adding practicality to the Solstice which I think is a good thing in its own right. You might be able to deal with buying a solstice and using it as your main vehicle where as before that would have been trickier.

Re: NYIAS 08: 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe
It looks nice, but I'm kinda over the Solstice--at least as far as being wowed goes. And the front windshield is too upright and tall for the side glass--maybe it's the "chrome". The Envoy backup lights and third brake light look weak and dated too. Oh, and the rims aren't complimentary. It's still great though.
