Is This The Chassis Of The New Corvette?

The 2014 Corvette is debuting at 7 EST this evening. If you hadn't heard, this is something we're all excited about.

We've already seen the front and rear of the car, but we haven't seen the pornography that lies under the skin. Until now.

Chevrolet is putting the final touches on the show stand, and this picture that was sent to us from someone on the floor purportedly shows the chassis of the much anticipated C7 Corvette.

Hope they offer those wheels in a gunmetal or gloss black version. Love to see a yellow C7 with gloss black wheels. Mmmm, tasty. The front is hot, the sides are good, interior looks very good so I guess it all beats out the kinda odd rear in my book, maybe it will grow on me. Now for the HP/TQ numbers and weight tonight. Should be fun to watch.

I hate that all the leaks are silver. it hides a lot I think.

I'm with you. Designers say that silver lets you see the contours of the vehicle. I happen to think it makes it look boring and invisible. I'd love to see them shown in blues, reds, golds, yellows or greens.

I'll pretend to hold off judgment until the video is posted of real shots. If I didn't, you wouldn't like the terms I use like too derivative, too chunky, too angular and too busy, and what's with the video game tach?? So I won't post them. I'll wait patiently.

frame is 57% stiffer - so it's not just the C6 Z06 frame. I always complained that the modal frequencies were higher than the steel frame, but the torsional rigidity was way lower.

    steering system is 500% stiffer.

not just much improved - it will feel very different.
