    Thats the first shot I've seen of the hatch open.

    I'll call it right now: base price (at least for 2014) will be $49,995.

    Well, that was, well, a fantastic, well, video. But in all seriousness, this car is mindblowingly well executed. Finally an interior which requires no apologies. I love it and I can't wait to hear the final specs of the LT1.

    Right now with destination a base 1LT manual with no options and destination (which everyone pays) is $50,595. I'm going to go with a marked price increase with all the improvements. I'm going to guess $52,990 with that $995 destination fee thrown in for a base 1LT manual with no options. Basically starting at $53K. Hope I'm wrong but something tells me, improvements cost money and it will happen.

    I love this design and the leap forward GM has taken with the C7... but what's with the stick-on spoiler? I understand that its functional but so is the lip on the current Z06. Its the only aspect of this car that doesn't fit and looks cheap.

    Z51 package adds that on. Im sure lots and lots of owners will take it off.

    I'd be willing to bet there's a functional aspect with the spoiler that would be negated with removal.

    I would like to see it without the rear spoiler, I bet it looks very clean and upscale without it.

    Is the spoiler attached to the rear hatch of the plastic rear fascia? It appears to be on the rear fascia.

    The commentator in the video does not have his facts straight (what a surprise).

    The Corvette hasn't had the twin rounded (or oval) tail lamps since the beginning. They were not introduced on the Vette until 1961, if I am correct. I see the tail lamp issue eventually phasing out just like the headlamp issue presented with the C6 and how it strayed away from the hidden style.

    The Vette looks great and I hope that it will win the comparison contests that it often was deemed the loser due to its lack-luster interior.

    I was thinking the same thing about the tail lamps.

    As for other incorrect facts, has GM released anything about highway fuel economy? This guy indicated the Vette would get "up to 26 MPG" on the highway, but I don't remember any concrete numbers being released, and I believe 26 is the current highway figure for the C6.

    I completely agree with this point and have thought the same thing many times as I read more and more commentary about the C7's design risks. It's something I appreciate about the way the Corvette has been handled over the years. GM is mindful of the Corvette's extremely rich heritage, but as the C7 so aptly demonstrates, those in charge of this wonderful car refuse to let it become a slave to fixed design cues. Even so, I can instantly recognize the new car as a Corvette.

    I love it.

    This video is the only reference to mpg's I've seen. Sounds like GM (didn't Mark Reuss say "expected" 450 hp?) hasn't even settled the final hp, so I doubt they have mpg.

    The C7 has the right look and sounds like it has the right stuff. I can't wait for the comparison articles to come out!!!!!! My expectation is the C7 is going to soundly beat all of its twice the price (and then some) competition.
