If you watch the current commercial of the SRX, you will see exactly what you just described: Hills with many curves and a 308HP-SPORT-UV that handles the road like a Porsche the Nuerburgring..

I'm not sure if you're serious, because no 'crossover' short of an actual wagon in off road drag is going to handle like a car all else being equal, and to be blunt those cars aren't really crossovers. The SRX is decidedly not a car in drag and is exactly the kind of vehicle I am talking about above, it's silly. These vehicles are popular because they are cool, not because they are actually especially good at anything or particularly practical, and they sure as Hades don't handle like any Porsche outside of the Cayenne which is now equally silly since it no longer has any real off road capability.

Well, of course I'm NOT serious. I was only describing the message of the commercial. I mentioned this (which, BTW, I saw yesterday during CNN's primary coverage) because it fits your description PERFECTLY.

I totally agree.

: Ah, I thought that might be where you were going. My apologies for botching a very well played jab at the largely pointless nature of these vehicles (I hate it when I do that)

Hey, no problem!:lmao:
Re: NAIAS: 2013 Lincoln MKZ Preview (official)
Just mentioning that seeing the 2013 MKZ at the NAIAS has changed my mind about the vehicle. It's not bad looking at all in person. In fact, it's a pretty good looking car. The grille still needs to grow on me - but the rest of the vehicle looks very good outside of pictures...

The concept seems like 2 different cars to me. From the A pillar aft it's clean, slightly "slabby", and rectalinear. Forward of the A pillar things get rounded, bloated, and very curvaceous. In fact very Kia Optima-like. I wonder which theme was chosen for the production car? We'll know in a few months.

I hope the theme follows the backside more than the schnoz, because as time goes on I like the nose on this car less and less.

Let's see what the production model will be like. Some minor adjustments and tweeks can have a huge impact on the overall appearance.

I agree, and I'm looking forward to seing the "real" thing. The front end is, to me, the weakest part of it. I do find it odd that the concept has this "double personality".
