Re: Saab 9-4X Biopower
Is it just a concept or is this how the real thing will look like?

should have picked the Caprice and the Olds and Buick counterparts... those only had grille differences.

Re: Saab 9-4X Biopower
You're kidding, right? Not only is it not a rebadge, it's not better than the Cadillac.

Re: Saab 9-4X Biopower
As I've said before, I don't "get" the whole Saab thing, but it looks OK.
What does tick me off a bit, is that GM can spend the money to completely re-skin Theta to make a Saab, but they only do a front clip and a little rear end work to make an Escalade out of a Tahoe. They KNOW they are going to sell a bunch of Escalades and they KNOW they are going to make a bunch of money on each one. Imagine how dramatic a full Cadillac body on an Escalade would be when you have that much room to work with. |

I like how none of these cars has quarter windows on the back doors. Cleans up the styling a lot! It's one thing I really like about Audis.

Re: Saab 9-4X Biopower
These aren't rebadges!!! Just because they are on the same platform, they are rebadges? They don't look anything like the Vue. GM did it with the Lambdas, they can't do it with these smaller crossovers?!
You want a rebadge, look at the Cobalt/G5, now thats a rebadge! I like both in different ways, I think there is a market for both to exist. Plus I would so much rather drive this Caddy over the X3 or the upcoming X1. It just screams style in a niche thats pretty much bland. Anyone know when it will be out?

Re: Saab 9-4X Biopower
I think it works overall and is LONG overdue. I hope that they pay attention to the little details that all Saab fans notice.

Re: Saab 9-4X Biopower
Agreed, this product got a much more distinctive look than the Provoq. Caddy should showcase a SRX replacement with the Provoq's drivetrain details... a RWD-based E-flex variant... now that would be cool. Or AWD with 4 hub motors... whatever... the Provoq just looks like they rebodied the plug-in VUE we've been expecting.

I like the Theta-based Caddy although aren't they supposed to get a version of the Saab 9-4x? I didn't realize that was Theta-based too. If it is, I think they've done a great job with both of their designs. |
