I love the overall design the name however I believe works against it.

Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Lincoln MKT Concept

I'm not feeling the love, at least not for the exterior. The interior is very nice, but it's hard for me to get excited about something that won't reach production.

The whole iPod-like touch pad idea is something that may be on the production vehicle. I know Jaguar is releasing the next-generation XJ without a single button or switch on the inside, with everything being replaced by touch pads. Lincoln may adopt something similar for the MKT and other next-generation Lincolns.

Perhaps a Mercedes executive nervous that any buyers of the R-Class are as good as gone?

Wow! The exterior looks great, although a lot will be changed if this makes production.

Not as much as you might think. This is about 75% production ready, with the main differences being a slightly more rear-world interior, but the exterior is good to go.

the front end of that is MEAN! I hate the "hatchbackness" of it. Make a regular sedan of it and you got a great look.

I'm glad to hear that. It's a futuristic design that presents a Lincoln that is leading in design, rather than following the competition or "just adding chrome" to Ford vehicles. Lincoln needs designs like this to get everyone's attention.

Awesome vehicle, great replacement for the Navigator as CAFE tightens up.

Aryan? There's a brunette in there. I don't see anything wrong with the picture at all. Just because something isn't politically correct doesn't mean it's wrong. Political correctness is wrong.

Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Lincoln MKT Concept

This would be the most comfortable four passenger vehicle around besides maybe a Rolls Royce or Bentley. There's more room inside this vehicle than the Lincoln Town Car and Fleetwood Brougham.

Even in three row form, I'm sure the 2nd row would be able to power back far enough to give industry-leading legroom.

It's being said that this vehicle may serve as a replacement for the Town Car's fleet business, with the next generation moving to a more upscale retail version.
