Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Ford F-150

I didn't know it was possible to put that much styling into a tailgate.

The outside is nice. Not perfect, but nice. I like that they changed the sheetmetal on the bed.

I am a big fan of the new interior. I especially like the door panels.

I really like teh blue one, with the black cross bars on the grille! But the odd weave chrome grille I do not like. Other than that I think its looks great. The interior is a little to busy & flat for me. I much prefer the 900's interior!

Center stack looks like a cpu tower loaded with lot's of buttons. GMs are simple and classy...with a lot less buttons for similar levels of options.

I don't like Ford's new radio's that they're using now. They just look weird to me. The whole center stack looks extremely overdone with buttons. The overall design is nice, but they need to tone down all the switches/buttons etc.

If by "less inviting" you mean "great, modern and superior", I agree.

Hell now even Dodge is ahead of GM, back to square 1.

Not bad, not bad at all a good refresh of the current F150 imo. Still I like the Dodge more.

The interior is busy, but has what some designer would probably call a certain "mechanical kinetic chic" look to it. It's a different approach from GM, with the car like dash, which I like as well. They're all good products.

I would pick the King Ranch over the platinum the Grill of the Platinum looks more Lincoln than Ford and guys I still dont believe that a lot of you expected a whole new truck in only 4 years thats just crazy

Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Ford F-150

Very nice! The interior espessially looks very well done. There's a lot going on but overall it looks very upscale. I don't like the grille, something about it looks dated to me. Ford's an expert at trucks, they consistently have the top seller with the F150 so obviously they know what they're doing. It'll be interesting to see what GM has planned as a response with the GMT-900's MCE.

UGLY!!!!!

How did ford go from one of the most attractive trucks on the market to the ugliest?

This has nothing on the new Ram in the exterior looks department...

It looks like it was designed by the guys who designed the Nissan Frontier, and the Dodge Durango.... neither of which are good looking.

Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Ford F-150

The new 09 f-150 is a good looking truck, though I think the body side is very BORING. Bold front, great interior and rear, but the side is so flat and unimaginative. At least the Dodge, GM twins, Tundra and Titan look like they have a little shape to their side profiles.

Now enough with the exterior/interior redesign, wheres the Powertrain/Chassis specs?

I agree, those headlights look like they came right off the frontier or pathfinder and the grill/front end has alot of dodge durango style to it

Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Ford F-150

I like the blue one. The other one looks like a cross between a GMC and a Chevy, only better of course. I just hope the interior we're seeing will be standard across the board and that their materials are worlds better than they are today.

Chevy better have something in the works.
