Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Ford F-150
Will the F-150 carry over the same engines and trans?
If so, I'd have to give it to the Ram. The chrome trimmed tail lights should've stayed on the Focus ![]()

Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Ford F-150
well the front clip looks like crap, but its kind of like thier Super Duty lineup. Rear is nice as is a more refined (and more busy) interior. I like the Dodge looks better, and I hope to God GM has a Great MCE in mind...LTZ/SLT is looking ho hum next to the Laramie/this F's interior!

I don't like the front grill, the interior I am unsure about. I looks good, but as others have said, overdone.

And to think that I was ragging on toyota's dash and instrumentation. This takes things to a whole new level, a low one at that. Toyota is a dash design god compared this ford creation. The new ram is worlds better looking.

I like the new fenders and back a lot. I prefer the lower level grilles. The interior looks good, and it looks like it belongs in a truck, unlike some of the competition. |

Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Ford F-150
I think if Ford carried over the bold and simple chrome three bar front grill idea from the Fusion it would have made the F-150 look even better. As is, the 2009 F-150's chrome grill looks overdone and not particularly good looking. The matte black grill is closest to what I would like to see, but it would be better in chrome.
I like the all black somewhat intimidating interior. It is what I would expect in a truck like this.

WOW, that is one handsome and rugged looking truck.
Look at the features that it comes with. How will GM even compete? That interior looks gorgeous, especially next to GM's best. Simply, WOW!!!

Looks complete to me. Every panel looks different, albeit carefully executed and minimalist - except for the roof, which nobody cares about. The interior is completely different and looks nothing like my 2005. The powertrain appears to be very newer, complete with a 6-speed, and the re-engineered suspension is probably only part of the chassis rework.

Trailer sway mitigation, tailgate step, folding box steps and running boards, sync and the list goes on.... The Bar has been upped again... Wonderful looking truck inside and out, Great Job Ford
