The center IP looks cheap, clunky, and cluttered. The new Dodge Ram is the better looking truck inside and out although I do have my long list of cons for the Ram as I do for the F-150. I have to say that GM's full size pickups have nothing to worry about in terms of design and engineering, except for needing slight powertrain updates such as adding the 6-speed trans. As I stated previously, I'm not being a fanboy in anyway but what I do have at times is heavy bias for GM and their vehicles. That's just me. And by the way, I'm not trying to be funny either.
Then why do you feel the need to bring up the Serria in every non Serria post? You called the truck "cheap" and yet you have never even been in the same zip code as one. And if your "point" is to start a flame war go somewhere else.

I have to say that after sitting in the new F150 that the center stack is not as busy as it looks in the pictures. While a few more buttons then normal, I didn't feel like I did with the iDrive unit (watching it more then the road).

If you feel that the new Ford F-150's interior doesn't look as cheap and clunky as it looks in the pictures since you stated that "you sat in it" then fine but that still doesn't change my opinion on it. You should of taken some pictures of the F-150 at the auto show and posted it so we could throw in our opinions as well. Remember, your opinion is your opinion. Everyone will not have the same view as you do as the same goes for me but I've seen tons of online pictures and real life pictures of the new F-150 on the web from different angles and the interior still looks clunky, cheap, and disorganized in my opinion. And by the way, I'm not trying to start "A FLAME WAR" as you call it.

Any yet you have not provided one shred of evidence to support your "cheap" assessment. Cheap is something that even the lowest common denominator can understand that is bad. How is it cheap? What is the cost of a button or switch for the truck? You don't know, and you can't prove it. You can have your opinion, but stop being ignorant about it. By calling something cheap you are trying to start something.

Gm786,
you really are the worst that GMi has to offer. If you went away, nobody would care.

BTW,
my quote at the bottom says it all.

Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Ford F-150

this is a nice truck.and yes it looks better on the inside compared to the "old-fashioned" Chevy/GMC twins.the floor-shifter is nice.even the new Dodge has a floor-shifter now.The Chevy still has the old-fashioned column shifter.what's up with that?

Who are you to call on any member on GMI? You are just as predictable as anyone on this site. As soon as I see "blank disk" I know exactly how the post is going to be - "Way to go Ford, why are you so bad GM, how will you even compete?".

Let's take a look at your predictability:

Look at the features that it comes with. How will GM even compete? That interior looks gorgeous, especially next to GM's best. Simply, WOW!!!.

From what I see, Ford made all the right design choices. I bet they have some cool features up their sleeve too, like they showed us on the SD.

Yup, all very boring, blah and predictable.

Also, it seems you have a very hard time staying on thread topic. You will make a derogatory comment on GM in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with any GM vehicle. You will just add in any statement not relative to the topic at all like you can't stop blabbing uncontrollably.

I don't know if I'm unpredictable enough to be allowed to say it, but I totally agree with you there.

I love the rear end looks, love the tailgate step. I'm not sure about the interior.

I don't really like the front end but I don't have it either.

Edit: Why do all of the Fords have to have the same style headlights? Anyway , the FX4 front end looks much better than the strange, out of place grille on the other models.

Nice lookin truck. Anybody notice where those o2 sensors are? I can see em with the floor out but I bet they will be a bear to change on the truck. But Ford is pretty slick about their designs like that, looking at small stuff like that so it wont get snagged off roading or something or so Im assuming.
