Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Dodge Ram revealed

The details are very impressive, but I'm not sold on the exterior. It's evolutionary, but the proportions on this new truck look odd. That said, the details like the panel gaps and headlights are well-executued.

The interior is kind of the same story... really nice details, impressive-looking materials. It's a little chunky looking, but it does look upscale.

Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Dodge Ram revealed

I'll be in the market for a truck next year. Dodge has just shot itself up my list of desired trucks with the 09 Ram. That is one beautiful truck!!! Can't believe something that good is coming out of Chrysler. Please oh please have good quality!!!

I like the truck. It looks good in & out.
The only thing I don't like is the shifter handle. It looks like there is too much bulky cheap plastic for it.

Yawn........wake me when Dodge is original again.

When the new Ram came out in the 90's, it was totally off the beaten path, now, they are trying to fit in.

Did anyone else see what is missing?? The Mega cab is gone!

I'll say...did you notice the leather stitching!? I thought the King Ranch was excessive....

But it's still nice. Hopefully they offer and extended cab again someday. Wonder what the heavy duty will look like. It better keep the solid front axle though, I hope.

Not bad Dodge. Not bad at all. That tailgate looks a lot like the one on the Silverado though.

Ditto. And loving the truck, but it's not completely different from the current model.

As for the interior, one of the best I've seen from Chrysler, looks like Cerberus is starting out good for themselves.

Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Dodge Ram revealed

Nasty. Sorry, not diggin' it. It's definately better than the current Ram on the inside (although I'm sure the materials will be a dissapointment in the flesh), but I'd rather have the '02-'05 exterior. Not that I'd buy a Dodge anyways.

I'd rather have a Sierra or '09 F-150.

Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Dodge Ram revealed

I agree the truck looks nice, but this is a Laramie version, high end, their LTZ.

Reality check - Show me what the lower trim levels that make up the majority of sales look like. The last picture in the gallery shows one, but looking pretty plain jane and stuffed in the background.

That is what will make or break this truck. If I get into a ST or SLT, will I find a sea of grey with rock hard plastics as seen in the last round of Chrysler products? Will the public be wowed by the $30,000 model as they are by the $45,000 model? Don't show me the best and think thats what I'm going to get when I go to the dealer and realize what $25,000-30,000 will buy me.

All questions we should be asking ourselves when we look at these pictures.

WOW pretty impressed by this truck! Multilink very interesting?! Like the features for the bed and the interior of the truck! Will make the competition a little stronger. Now Chevy needs to get the numbers up.

True I would love to see the lower trim levels. I sure won't be buying a top of the line model, but mid-range most likely.

Re: NAIAS 08: 2009 Dodge Ram revealed

Wow... very nice. I have a feeling Tundra owners who regret their decision will head (back?) to Dodge.

I am really really impressed.. Hopefully the interior feels as good as it looks.
