Now that is a beautiful car.
When will it be in America as an Aura?

Re: London 08: Opel/Vauxhaul Insignia Photos
This car would do incredible sales as a Pontiac or a Chev or even a Buick. If and when GM brings it as a Saturn, it will wither away on the vine just like all the other good products that they send to the half dead Saturn brand.
If GM really cares about North America, they should dedicate their top product to their high volume lines. Sending interantional success stories to a low volume line just doesn't make sense.

Re: London 08: Opel/Vauxhaul Insignia Photos
You look at this car and consider that Saturn still has a reputation for selling small cars then you realize why it isn't a priority to sell this as a Saturn.
As slick as this car is, Saturn dealers, well this would be the Volkswagen Phaeton all over again. As a Buick.......or a Pontiac, that's a different story. |

To heck with Saturn. To me, this looks like what a modern-day Buick should look like. I think it would fantastic wearing the tri-shield and would complement the Enclave very well.

Re: London 08: Opel/Vauxhaul Insignia Photos
Not to hijack this thread but this is a BEAUTIFUL CAR. I agree with the other posters it would be a shame to waste such a beautiful car on the Saturn lots. Not to hijack the thread but instead of Saturn if GM would rename it.................PONTIAC,give it a new mission of international flair and instead of fake sportiness. Pontiac has a much stronger brand recognition than Saturn.......Back to the thread........beautiful car, kudos GM.

Re: London 08: Opel/Vauxhaul Insignia Photos
Since everyone hates Saturn, why not just rename Saturn as Opel, then in 3 years market Opel's to American's saying it is manufactured here and contributes so much to the economy.

Re: London 08: Opel/Vauxhaul Insignia Photos
That's the impression I got. Looks nice. Only thing I don't like is the harsh red lighting on the interior... But that's a personal preference thing.

Re: London 08: Opel/Vauxhaul Insignia Photos
Beautiful car it does sort of look BMW'ish. If GM brought those here they would not be able to keep them on the lot. I too think that it would be a waste to place a Saturn badge on it but even if they did no doubt it would be a hit.

Re: London 08: Opel/Vauxhaul Insignia Photos
Right, I agree. I think that that may be why it comes across to me as more expensive-looking than what I predict the price will be. And I say that especially looking at the exterior shots.
Either that or it simply is a very photogenic vehicle. |

Re: London 08: Opel/Vauxhaul Insignia Photos
I love how aside from the wiper, the hatchback and sedan are virtually indistinguishable. Good job on GM's part.
