Re: GMC Denali XT Concept Unveiled
I like it. However it looks like exactly what it is. A concept. I have a feeling I wouldn't like the production version.
Was this designed in the US or AU?

It looks very Toyota-ish to me.

Re: GMC Denali XT Concept Unveiled
I like it, even though I think it looks a little too much like a Ridgeline from the rear doors back. I think this concept is probably a bit more "out there" than what the production version will look like, but I think it's a good start. If they could get the mileage up to something like, say, a midsize car, and the price remains pretty comparable to that of a Canyon, I think it could be a good seller.
What's important here is GM taking the first step in what *could* potentially be a hot new segment. I'm not sure that a vehicle like this would ever be as popular as a true truck; there are too many men whose fragile egos wouldn't allow them near anything that might even be considered a car. I do think this will eventually replace small trucks though. Hopefully GM is getting into the game early enough to be the benchmark for anybody else that tries to do the same. |

Re: GMC Denali XT Concept Unveiled
I like the idea, VE Crewman Cross 8 with a Midgate and Two-Mode, but I'm not sure about this concept. I'm sure the production model will be toned-down considerably.
The video, however, is priceless! ![]()

Re: GMC Denali XT Concept Unveiled
ARGH! I so could had used a vehicle exactly like this today to move some furniture!
I like it, I like it A LOT. I was about to jump on it until I saw the midgate. Perfect. GM should put other automakers on notice with this vehicle. Unibody hybrid V8? Right on. Puts the Fridgeline and the A-BAT to shame. Although I think the payload and towing capacity could be increased.

Re: GMC Denali XT Concept Unveiled
This is much better then Toyota's ugly A-Bat and much better engine. I would love the 4.5 liter diesel to end up under the hood and if priced reasonably this could make a good alternative to full size trucks that are ladder frame.
