Re: GMC Denali XT Concept Unveiled!

This is an obvious design that will invoke love-it or hate-it reactions.
You cannot please everyone.

The only thing that I'm curious to know is why GM (or Ford & Chrysler) will not simply put these vehicles into production instead of showcasing them as concepts.

These concepts (love-it or hate-it) are far better in design than what is currently being sold on the market.

I'm also curious to know if the Japanese car makers spend less time (if at all) taking concept cars to production.

I'll appreciate any insight on this topic.

Re: GMC Denali XT Concept Unveiled!

Looks like a mish-mash of incongruent design themes. Especially the 3/4 view from the back. There are so many exciting types of concepts they could spend money on. Why do up a botch job like this? GM design is by no means "back" as many claim. There are a couple bright spots (CTS, Camaro) in a sea of mediocrity. And any other decent efforts (eg G8) were designed overseas. Time to put Welburn out to pasture and get some better talent in there.

Its OK to have a sport sedan concept with outrageous wheels but this is supposed to be a truck - give us real wheels/ride height so we can form a real opinion.
You may have missed my more productionised chop....

Is there any way we could see this without those damned fender flares?

Re: GMC Denali XT Concept Unveiled!

That is awesome. The more I look at it, the more I like it. At first I was like but it's really growing on me fast. That is seriously something I would consider in the future if I were to buy a brand new truck/SUV. The Holden Utes are not for me. The G8 version would not even make my list, I'd take a regualr G8 first (if the interior wasn't so damn cheap ) but this thing is bad-ass.

You could have at least done the factory 20s. I love those wheels. Slap a set of those on there and I'll take mine in black, thanx!

That's the first thing that poped into my head when I saw this... Ford Interceptor. Except this is much uglier.

Put some life into those taillights and this puppy will 86 the femmline and "a-bat"..ch of toyoduh dung. I could see this knocking existing femmline sales below 20,000...It would also put a hurt on the ageing Sport Trac and the new H3T.

Re: GMC Denali XT Concept Unveiled!

Every GM truck needs that interior however the exterior looks way to over styled I can't wait to see what a production version that is more toned down will look like if it goes to production

There's a lot of irony in GM fans in awe of this concept yet trashing the Ridgeline.
Heck no, I think it's as useful as a brick stick..... it just looks funky. Like I said before, no more, and no less useful than a Ridgeline, but I think it looks better.
