Only thing I would say would be fuel efficiency at comparable outputs.

With what the expected acceleration times are for the Traverse 99.9% of buyers in this segment most certainly wont miss the 100+ HP the Explorer offers.

Although I do secretly wish for a Acadia Typhoon edition in all black with a 3.6TT

Assuming everybody that bought the Explorer Sport bought it on accident or just for the blacked-out trim?

Re: GM Reveals 2018 Chevrolet Traverse

As much as I'd like to see a Voltec powered Traverse that could go up against the XC90 T8 at a much better price point (or the Pacifica plug-in at the same price, but with drastically different body), I don't see it happening.

GMC has more room in its pricing for a move like that, and they haven't announced any alternative/plug-in/hybrid for Acadia. I'm waiting for one.....

To bad Chevrolet has decide to limit...it appeal with a smaller engine and have it with only FWD available! You would think Chevrolet would offer either the same V6 or a more high performance powertrain and AWD in a RS model! Confusing combination for a "sporty" Traverse! It the opposite of the Ford Explorer model in terms of performance and functional!

RS looks really nice. I don't think the RS has ever been (at least in recent history) anything more than an appearance package. 305hp is fine for this, expecially with a 9 speed auto.

Perhaps if sales take off a TT v6? Probably not, but would be really cool.

Re: GM Reveals 2018 Chevrolet Traverse

This actually looks like an SUV. That would be a unique feature among crossovers.

Unfortunately the increased ride height, rake, and stance was just for a couple of press photos.

In reality, it has the stance and rake of a minivan. Just like the current Traverse.

I withdraw my thumbs up for this model and I fully expect the new Blazer to not offer anything unique.

Hah, you're right about the ride height, never noticed that in the press photos. Talk about a photoshop job!

Nice improvement. Exterior does look chiseled. Interior is about as good as we can expect. Overall, very nice.

The only weak point for me is the front end/grill. Did they mention an LTZ version?

I believe LTZ is being phased out for "Premier". And sounds like High Country is going to be a notch above that.
