Re: Geneva '09: BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo Concept(PAS)
![]() ![]() LOL this is all I see now! Although I thing the front end looks good, on an angle. Maybe if it were a little less aggressive. The interior is left to be desired, look at the screens it looks like they were added on afterwords! The back end, yea it's nasty! Whats with the mini trunk opening?? I thought thats all there was until i scrolled down and saw the big hatch! I like hatches, and I think more cars should have them. Great example of a good sedan with a good hatch, Mazda 6 5 door: ![]() I hate to say it but the X6 looks better than this thing. I'll PASs

Re: Geneva '09: BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo Concept(PAS)
From the front to the B pillar is pretty good... and then it all goes down hill from there. Blergh! This and the X6 make me think someone has been smoking something near the air conditioning air intake vents.
I like the dual hatch system for the rear access, but do question the lack of glass you can see through for the back window, it looks awfully small given the width of the vehicle.

Looks. This thing is ugly. The press and BMW fan boys will convince themselves they like it. They have to keep the love affair going. This BMW, along with everyone save the 3 series (which does not look good BTW), is a complete monstrosity. I guess I'm getting out of touch with the styling trends. When things like this are consider pretty, new Audis aren't called to the carpet for their stupid looking grills, and the Pontiac G8 is called bland, I guess I have to say I'm out of sync. Either that or I have not chugged the kool aid. Mark |

Re: Geneva '09: BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo Concept(PAS)
So you mix a Dodge Charger's nose with a Prius's hind end and you get BMW's latest "why does this exist" vehicle. Need utility? 5-series wagon. Don't need utility? 5-series sedan. What exactly does this do again?

Re: Geneva '09: BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo Concept(PAS)
I think one of the problems is this liftback design doesn't suite RWD cars. Due to the fact the bonnet is long and A-pillar is so far back, it doesn't look proportional to the short rear overhang.

Re: Geneva '09: BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo Concept(PAS)
have YOU been waiting for it?
"progressive activity sedan," eh? ![]() squish the X6 and...tada! we gots a new vehicle that nobody ever asked for... "PAS". Has BMW taken on the technique of the US military of coming up with random letters AND THEN coming up with an acronym that fits it?
