Keep that Euro look and suspension and I agree, be a good alternative to to VW that only has wagons to offer

I think that would be for the best. I would like to see them offer a more powerful engine options though.

Be a good inexpensive alternative to the Outlook, like the Mazda5 is for the Mazda CX-9

Re: Geneva 08: Facelifted Opel Zafira

I've driven the last-gen Zafira (my sister-in-law in New Zealand) and liked it. It's a tad smaller inside than the Kia Rondo, but the seating outlay is very flexible. It would make a very good family car for a family with, say, three small children...

Please keep us up to date. I'm very anxious to read about your experience. I have a good feeling that these will be coming here to the states.

How was the legroom in the front and rear seats? For an adult.

Re: Geneva 08: Facelifted Opel Zafira

Yeah, no problem. Due for delivery tomorrow!! By the way car prices here in Ireland are very high (high tax) the car is costing me €38,000 ($60,000 approx). What do you think it would cost in the US? Admittadly I am going for a high spec model, but they start (1.6l "Life" model) from €26,145 ($41,000 approx). See the irish opel site:
http://www.opel.ie/action/go?cntryCd...ra&nav=catwalk

(I know they havent updated their picture yet)

Legroom in the middle seats is very good, these seats slide back and forth so you can have as much or as little as you want (to the benefit/detriment of the back seats or boot (trunk)).

Yea just like in the Lambda's. I like it since I like legroom. The price is very high though even if it is fully loaded. For the price you spent on your vehicle you can get one of these here: http://www.cadillac.com/cadillacjsp/...lade&year=2008

I wasn't planning on getting the Zafira but I think it would do well here as a alternative to an suv. It would fit well with Saturn.

Re: Geneva 08: Facelifted Opel Zafira

Took delivery today, very pleased. The car I got has uprated suspension and this makes a huge difference. I had driven a couple of rental Zafiras on holidays, and my one one complaint was that the suspension was very soft. The uprated suspension fixes this, its not too hard (this is a family car after all!) but it goes round corners much better now.

The engine is pretty good too, 2.0l turbo (200BHP). Its not very quick or anything, but its not slow either - safe for overtaking.

The interior trim quality is very good, leather steering wheel, nice plastics. The trip computer screen is a bit dated looking - I had debated upgrading to the Sat Nav, giving you a nice graphic colour screen, but the €1400 ($2200) price tag put me off!!

Cup holder is rubbish aswell!!

But apart from these small issues Im very pleased, plenty of room for the family (wife and 2 kids), big boot, and if need it, 2 extra seats in the boot for those "dads taxi" runs, with half the football team!
