Chicago: 2007 Lincoln Navigator
![]() High-Resolution: http://www.gminsidenews.com/naias/chicago/navi/1h.jpg ![]() High-Resolution: http://www.gminsidenews.com/naias/chicago/navi/2h.jpg ![]() High-Resolution: http://www.gminsidenews.com/naias/chicago/navi/3h.jpg ![]() High-Resolution: http://www.gminsidenews.com/naias/chicago/navi/4h.jpg ![]() High-Resolution: http://www.gminsidenews.com/naias/chicago/navi/5h.jpg Text from Edmunds.com DEARBORN, Mich. — Lincoln takes the wraps off its redesigned Lincoln Navigator SUV at the Chicago auto show on Wednesday, showing off a new look and a "Navigator L" model that is 14.7 inches longer than the regular version and gives buyers an additional 25 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the third-row seat. The '07 Lincoln has a more in-your-face chrome grille, a "powerdome" hood, optional 20-inch chrome wheels, new wing-shaped taillamps, and new body-side trim integrated into the lower cladding. In the cabin, Lincoln says second-row seats now feature a one-hand fold-and-tumble operation for access to the third row. Major chassis enhancements include larger brakes, a stiffer frame, and an all-new independent rear suspension. The powertrain, a 5.4-liter V8 mated to a standard six-speed automatic transmission that generates 300 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque, is carried over from the previous model. What this means to you: If you're after a big ride and more bling, you're going to get it with the redesigned Lincoln Navigator. More pics: Quick look at the Aspen to save my eyesight!!!

Re: The 07 Navigator!!!
![]() what in the world happened to the grille??!?!?!?!?!?! it's totally out of whack with the rest of the front end. The Navigator used to be such a refined looking SUV too.... The interior doesn't look to be as sophisticated as Escalade, though it does seem to have more wood and has a console shifter.

Re: The 07 Navigator!!!
Ford, you idiots! They screwed up a beautiful vehicle. On top of that awful front end, with only 300 HP...the Escalade walks all over this thing. Even the interior is nothing great. What a shame.

Re: The 07 Navigator!!!
That is heinous. The Escalade looks better than this thing from every possible angle. I hate eggcrate grilles...so boring. The cowl on the dash looks like it's too high. The large metal plates on the doors look like something a ricer puts on his Civic, and the taillights look like they would bolt right onto an MKX.
I find it interesting that the only Lincolns and Cadillacs that still retained their "regular" names are the Navigator and Escalade, even with model changes for 2007.

Re: Chicago: 2007 Lincoln Navigator
I don't understand. I think it looks really good. I love the new grills Lincoln is going with. The lights are awesome too. Don't get me wrong, I like the Lade better, and with 100 more hp it will own this, but I still think it looks good.

Re: Chicago: 2007 Lincoln Navigator
I try not to be overly critical when first looking at new vehicles..often times they grow on me, but this is just terrible. Not only do I not like it...I have a hard time picturing a demographic group that would like it.
Words cannot describe what I think of the front end. The interior I do not like also. I was never a fan of Ford's steering wheels, with their bulky squareness, but the square guages and square/rectangular center stack remind me of almost every GM car in the late 1970's and early 80's my parents had. |

Re: Chicago: 2007 Lincoln Navigator
That's by far the most hidious looking thing I've ever seen, I don't think the Escalade will have any problems out-selling this fugly thing. So once again in the Ford vs GM wars, GM is winning big time

Re: Chicago: 2007 Lincoln Navigator
I really like the interior on this, especially the gauges. The exterior is hideous though. Especially that hood, it sticks out way too much. The Escalade is a thousand times better looking than this thing. I like the headlights though. Why only 300hp?
