Re: CES Photos of Hydrogen Volt

Looks like all they need are hydrogen refueling stations and the Hydrogen Volts would be fine.

Re: CES Photos of Hydrogen Volt

What I find funny is that everyone keeps commenting in the media about how the biggest obstacle to Hydrogen is that there is no infrastructure in place... I wish I could be there every time someone says that and thinks that reason is the killing deathblow to Hydrogen and smack the living crap out of them.

How do you think Gas Stations got everywhere???? Have they ALWAYS been around?????
NO YOU STUPID %#&@s!
Gas stations had to start out somewhere too....

If the automakers all made 1 Hydrogen vehicle in every brand, you would see Hydrogen Stations become the next gold rush. That right there is a monopoly and a nice niche market. I would hope that Mobil/Sunoco/Citgo and all the other Gas Stations would not get involved in offering a Hydrogen pump at their stations because I could see them trying their hardest to destroy it from the inside out.

Sooo...you're saying that we should all start Hydrogen refueling stations and make a ton of money! Genius!!!!

Hydrogen will not become a viable option until there is widespread adoption of nuclear power. It's simply too inefficient to produce and extract (except with nuclear).

They also forget the fact that hydrogen could be manufactured in your garage with water and electricity. It won't be efficient or fast, but it could be done in a pinch. For instance, if you're a commuter way out in the middle of nowhere, you could have your hydrogen station making hydrogen all day. You could then come home, plug in your car and fill it up. This is extra awesome for folks in sunny states who could feed their home hydrogen stations with solar power.

It's way harder to refine your compost into gasoline or make your own biodiesel. Greasel, maybe - but only if you eat a lot of fries.

Theese pics don't phase me. I want a profile shot because it looks like they are giving away the more aerodynamic look GM is going for.

Why not make all Gm dealers hydrogen fueling stations at first. Imagine the foot traffic it would generate.

I'd be really surprised if that happened. If the cars appeared those companies would put a hydrogen pump as soon as it was viable. Don't forget where most of the hydrogen comes from, it comes from ExxonMobil and friends

Re: CES Photos of Hydrogen Volt

This kind of screams Saturn Vue with an edgy Cadillac grill...The interior is looking great. But why can't the exterior be a bit less Vue?

Honestly...we're better than that. This issue is about bad as Democrats and Republicans....Both sides have their extremists, and they will never see eye to eye. Then somewhere in the middle is the rational thinking, and compromise that make good things happen.
we're definitely not on the bottom as far as environmental issues go.

I agree with you but the guy has a point. Being a world power means we need to do things for ourselves more than we are. Everything comes at a cost. I think one thing the left-wing extremists need to realize is that there is no way for us not to destroy the world we live in.

being green is great, but most people who are green dont know what the definition of being green is. Being green is showing respect for the environment in every way possible SHORT of lowering your standard of living.
