Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Why do concept cars lack door handles? I mean we all know they have to be there anyway.
And again....another cool car for China while we swig down Lacrosse and Lucerne's. |

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
The LaCrosse and Invicta are the same car.
The interior of this concept is VERY close to the production. Actually, I think the switchgear is the production switchgear...just more chrome stuff. |

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Methinks the Designers are getting carried away with the high beltline - small greenhouse concept.
Is it just my imagination or does the side view of this concept look like someone started with a truck and made a car? |

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Outstanding! Traditional Buick lines with the perfect blend of modern sophistication! This unit should double Buick's sales overnight. I agree, the Invicta nameplate is winner, it is better than Lacrosse. Great job to the Buick team that worked on this homerun!!!

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
This thing is stunning. But how much will it look like this? We already know the car on the trailer looks quite a bit different.
But anyways, these Chinese are pretty impressive. As far as design I think they are doing better than Holden, Opel, and definitely Daewoo.

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Nice looking but I had really hoped that the front end would closely reflect the unique sculpting of the Riviera since news releases kept referring to the Invicta as being "inspired" by the Riviera. This is so much tamer than both the Velite and Riviera. But it IS an improvement over the lame LaCrosse and Lucerne for sure. A shame though that Buick keeps showing off lovely concepts then not building them. I wonder if THIS 'concept' will be watered down come production time?

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
I like the name, Buick Invicta. It sounds elegant and classy, while still modern. Its too bad that Cadillac couldn't have the same approach with their names. I'm just assuming now that Buick is going to stay FWD, with a possible AWD variant. If they build this car, its going right next to the Solstice on my list.

Re: Here's the new Buick!
I am not crazy about the styling of the Buick shown in the pics. I wish they would make the Buicks based off of Holdens because I find them better looking. I remember seeing a few pics a few weeks ago based off of some Holden model, and I was blown away by its looks, really stunning stuff.

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Interesting video about how the car was made. Looks like North America did most of the designing:

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Buick is beginning to look very Lexus, very Japanese, which is how it should work. Their market share losses have been to Lexus, thus they be one of their main competitors.
