Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
It looks really nice.
I think it may be just me but I think that there is just too much Enclave in the car and taht it doesn't really fit in with the rest of the car. Hopefully they could bring back the colored logo... I really like that.

Change that.
The more I look at it the better it looks

![]() I really like the concept, but I like MonaroSS's chop better...maybe just because it has a realistic roofline and door handles. I think the interior is basically production-intent, as it is almost exactly like the spy photos that we've seen. I wish they would offer some form of the glass roof, since the Lexus ES350 offers it (although theirs looks like two sunroofs from the interior).

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Hmm, very interesting and intriguing.
Although something that jumped out at me is that big open stretch on the front end. It almost looks like a billboard <insert ad here>. Perhaps that front waterfall grille could be pulled down to help fill in that space, kinda like what Audi is doing now. Then maybe reverse the curve on the top of the grille. Instead of making the upper curve where it rises to meet the hood, make it concave instead of convex. I would say to stretch the bottom of the grille down about 5-7 inches. Then make the top curve of the grille follow the hood line around and make the curve concave instead of convex. Something just don't sit right with that billboard space up front. Overall though, a very intriguing design. Very contemporary and soothing lines.

If THAT is in fact our new Lacrosse (or Lacrosse replacement), GM would appear to have finally gotten it. And would seem to be getting it on a consistent basis now. Because that my friends, is a beautiful car.

I found the Riviera a bit of a slap in the face with all the Chinese written all over it. Here GM China, take over for GM USA as they can't do anything creative anymore. The Enclave must have been a fluke. Harley Earl is rolling over in his grave. We have to import our performance rear drive architecture from Holden, our quirky Saturn's (uniquely American) are now rebadged Opels, and Buick cars are now being designed/co-designed in China. ![]()

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
WTF! I just saw this real life picture. From this angle I think it looks very.... ugly. The nose is too short. The beltline is ridiculous. The green house is too bubbly. And the body is just too long. I'm a fan of cars that have a streched look, but it looks all wrong with that dome roof and punched in nose. In fact I think it has a sort of Toyota Tundra quality to it.

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Ha! You nailed it I-love-pontiac! It does look like a tundra! That line down the side that dips at the rear door looks stupid. If the bottom of the greenhouse glass followed it that would look better, but instead its straight and then there's that "line."
Longhorn, your right too. It has a certain lexus look to it, especially the greenhouse. Very GS like. |

Ditch the short & stubby nose.....it makes the G6's bulbous rear end look downright gorgeous....
