Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Wow, color changes everything.
Invicta > CTS ...and hopefully LaCrosse > CTS

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Wow, that looks really nice. I'm impressed. Of course how this will translate (if at all) to a production car is the next thought...

Go and ask the people on the street if they would consider a GM vehicle and you probably wouldn't get a good reaction. I know there are some who are getting into the new CTS and Enclave that were import buyers, but who is buying Malibus, previous GM owners. I live in the Midwest, the heart of domestic country and try to convince people that they should at least step into the GM showrooms and take a look at the changes. Most people were burnt bad from the vehicles from the 80's and 90's and it's going to take at least one product cycle, if not longer, to bring them back. That's why the new Malibu is so important. If GM starts changing the tide now (and it seems they may be doing just that), then the next 3-4 years are going to be crucial to the company.

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
I think these are closer to what the production cars will look like. I raised the roof, smoothed the body a little and changed the grille and under bumper vent to match the prototype.

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Nice, it'll probably look just like that but with smaller tires.

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Great work Monaro SS. If this is what it will look like, we will definietly have a hit on our hands. Of course the windows won't be tinted and it will have different wheels, but you probably can't photoshop those out without ruining the look (gotta love those wheels though).

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Yeah, I was a geezer at 35 when I bought my LaCrosse is 2006. This vehicle is what a Buick needs to be. I want to get the Lucerne replacement for my next ride, but may have to stay in this class for fuel efficiency.

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed
Me have to agree with you! Also, as nice as it is, it can stand to be a bit more curvaceous. The design is too safe in much the same way as the Pontiac G8.

It is funny becaus a lot of young people have no idea that portholes are a Buick design trait.
