If $33,000 for a nicely loaded Lacrosse is the point of entry for the brand, then you will not be getting too many 25 year olds.
I have no doubt that Buick will be able to attract younger buyers, I just question whether more than just a mere handful or the current trickle will flock to showrooms if the production model looks anything like that wiener dog concept that was actually revealed......

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed

If there is a $33,000 base lacrosse then they will be able to slip a Delta II Skylark underneath starting in the 25-26K range. The Century may have started at 21K at the end of its life but a brand can't attract younger buyers with bench seats and 3100s. This style in a smaller package will be able to get those TSX type buyers 24 out of college and making the real money. This would lower the average age another 5 years at least.

I think a DeltaII Buick would not be a good thing. A smaller Buick on a shortened EpiII would be better. Leave DeltaII for Chevy & Saturn(for NA).

I think CAFE will force it out. I would love to see a high-end E-Flex drivetrain as Buick's gas saving leader, but I expect a Skyhawk/Skylark type vehicle to show up sooner or later in NA.

You'll see, Buick's average age will drop when this goes on sale. Look at the Enclave! It has lowered Buick's average buying age significantly. More importantly, looking at the buying ages for the individual model. People in their 30's with families are buying the Enclave but still Buick is also selling the LaCrosse and Lucurne. Good things are happening, the Enclave really proves the potential in the Buick brand.

^It appears that the pics shown earlier were not the actual concept but drawings. Personally I would rather see real world pictures to better judge the style.
EDIT found some pics

DVD's for each rear seat ULTRA model anyone

VERY NICE!! I like how that looks inside and out. I also like the squared look, yet still very modern!

That last pic makes me think that there's going to be some Zephyr-style backlash when they have to lower the beltline and how it blends into the rear end.

Fantastic looking interior and love the tailight detail, just raise the glasshouse, get rid of that glass roof change the rear door shut line- to match the wheel arch curve and away you go.
Job well done!!

Actually can they get that interior design (an similar taillights) into the facelift for Commodore/G8 !!

Re: Beijing: Buick Invicta Concept revealed

The car actually looks pretty good, though I don't think the interior truly fits it. Seems too complex compared to the exterior.

When I saw the photos as top I was like... hmm..looks nice... could use some door handles though. LOL.

The only thing I don't like is they seem to be confused what to do with the port holes. They look stupid the way they are positioned here.

I disagree. The driver would be able to see them from that position. I hope they make it to production.

Also being on the very top they would be effective for cooling should they decide to make them functional.

Not really. They might allow hot air to escape, but that would work just as well on the side of the ood, or on the fenders where they are supposed to be. The finder sides doesn't really work well on this car, and since the Enclave has them on the side of the hood bulge, these should go there as well. I tdon't like them where they are at on this concept.
