I agree on both accounts. The Toy does look like an ugly fish! And the Tahoe would blow this out of the water, or down under in this case!

More bulbous melted plastic design themes from Toyota! Nasty!

I enjoy bashing Toyota, as much as the next guy, but the Landie has a long history of off-road skills. Look at the off-road oriented components that it comes with. The Land Cruiser is right up there with Range Rover, in off-road-ability, and interior luxury. None of these things ever go off-road, but in off-roadability (and price) the Tahoe is more of a Sequoia competitor. The H2 might me a more apt competitor, for the Land Cruiser, but it the H2's interior is still downgrade compared to the Toyota.

Even the Escalade can't compete with this. In looks and style, sure - it's a hands down winner. But in capability and luxury? Nope. This truck has tremendous off-road capabilities with excellent road-manners otherwise...

No way this thing is worth $100,000 AU dollars. What's the point of having all of the 4x4 capability if it is so luxurious inside? It'll never see off road except for maybe a little muddy water washed off of a construction site next to a country club. I've never understood the Z71 Tahoes for that matter. Oh well, it's obviously not intended for someone with my views anyways...just bragging rights.

I hate the looks I wish it looked more like the tundra ... I think I like older Land cruisers better.... But i love the 380HP!

And like someone else said here... the LandCruiser has always had a serious 4x4 capability.

You're kidding right?

With as loaded and fluffy as this is on the inside, the most 'off-roading' it'll see is maybe absorbing a few potholes here and there on the way to the yacht club I bet.....

Sorry to disappoint you..but the Landcruiser even in its "Luxury Mode" does a fair bit of off roading as well as parading up and down streets in Austalia. The king of Off roaders here is the limited edition Landcruiser 70..more like a Pickup but an incredibly tough vehicle.

Landcruiser 70=/=giant luxurious Landcruiser 200. Two different vehicles that happen to share a name.

Sorry to dissapoiunt all you Americans, but in Australia you spell 4X4 "Toyota".

There is nothing GM or Ford make that will stick with a Landcruiser 70,100 or 200 series.

The only problem I have with Toyota is the price.

Oh no, I believe you.......I was just saying a fluffed up version of the Land Cruiser (which someone here said was even more luxurious than an Escalade) would make about as much sense as a hard-core off-roader as an Escalade would.......just ain't something you see everyday I guess

One thing I do like about this is the height adjustable suspension. I really want to see the H2 and Escalade get something like that.

Especially the Escalade. Those damn wheel wells need to be filled in.
