Question: Volvo XC90 V8 Transmission

We all know that Volvo has a new 6-speed automatic transmission developed to handle the extra power of the V8, but is it the same new 6-speed automatic transmission that is in use in the 05 Navigator. If memory serves me right, Ford said they had a new tranny developed to also handle the extra power of the new V8.

XC90 currently uses a geartronic 4 speed auto, with the twin turbo 6 cylinder.
Also uses Haldex AWD system Primarily FWD

Navigator uses a ZF 6 speed with a Control Trac 4wd system, primarly RWD
