Original article in German, translated to English:
Sportier than a Mercedes Benz CLS, roomier than a BMW 6-series, stronger than a Jaguar XKR: With the Panamera, Porsche wants to reinterpret the Gran Turismo concept. The roof line and the form of the rear side windows, orient themselves to 911, the rear flap, we know from the 944 and 928, the lights remind the Boxster. The engines are well-known in principle from the Cayenne (V8, photo) and the Carrera GT (V10). The piston displacement of the V10 (photo) might rise from 5,7 to 6,5 litres. While the Sauger in the achievement is easily taken back, 700 Bhp are and more in it with the Biturbo. Likewise again: the double clutch transmission. Re: Porsche Panamera.
Looking at those, Photoshop pics, I have to say: It's not exactly a pretty car.
It looks like a bloated 911 and those headlights are a rip-off from the Mercedes CLS. At least, the 6.5 V10 700 Bhp engine is quite impressive. Not even, the Carrera GT is that powerful, but then, about the time, when the Panamera will be released - in 2009 - the Carrera GT will not be available anymore. Porsche announced, they will drop the Carrera GT for 2006. ![]() |

Re: Porsche Panamera.
Kowalski is a little lacking in the real of reality forgive him... after all he like Saabs...
![]() That is a classily clean design, following in the steps of 911 tradition. If I was a rich man.... alas designing cars doesn't pay very well ![]() |

Re: Porsche Panamera.
Looks pretty hot - I like how the c pillar integrates into the rear glass. The small seperation at the front quarters I don't like though.
