***Porsche Museum (Part 2)***

Here is part II

Porsche Cayman cut in half for your viewing pleasure!

356 B? Not sure (no info plaque). I know it's gorgeous looking though! Sorry that the first shots are a little overexposed. I used a high ISO sensitivity rating and forgot to tone it down for this shot with a lot of artificial light above...

1960 Porsche Typ 718/2 Formula 2 Racing Car (left) and 1962 Typ 804 Formula 1 Racing Car (right)

1962 Typ 804 Formula 1 Racing Car

1983 Porsche 929 "Study Group B"

In the automotive world we call this a "car-gasm"...

2003 Porsche Carrera GT "Testcar"

1969-1970 Porsche 917 16-cylinder engine. Porsche wanted to participate in the Can Am series in America and needed a powerful engine to compete with the American V8's with generally 750-horsepower+. This 16-cylinder boxer engine was developed particularly for this racing series and developed 900-horsepower. But at the same time, Porsche also developed a lighter 12-cylinder boxer engine with 1,000-horsepower. Thus, this engine was never used in motorsports.

Oh yeah!

1984-1986 McLaren TAG Porsche. The engine you see in the last two shots is the 900-hp 1.5-l engine!

1989 Porsche CART Indycar

1988 Porsche CART Motor

1970 Porsche 908-3 engine

OKA engine

2001 Porsche 911 Turbo engine. Aside from awesome performance, this engine is also noted for low emissions output.

END OF PART II

Hope you liked the show.

BRAVO! I'm going to need to repay this through a visit to the Bill Harrah collection... Sometime around Silvester.

Was this the aftermath of being passed by a Corvette C6? I mean, I've heard of the scoops sucking doors off and all.

Nope. A couple of kids with a chainsaw did that.
