Spy Shots: Porsche Panamera still ugly

Quote:
More spy shots of the Porsche Panamera have emerged, and in addition to wearing almost no camo, it is missing one other thing: any hint of beauty, anywhere. In fact, we can now definitively say that Porsche has one of the world's greatest ever surprises up its sleeve: the company either has a titanic makeover regimen planned for the car that will turn it into something attractive, or Porsche plans to release a truly regrettable looking vehicle.

It appears Porsche is going with the truly regrettable vehicle. I look at things like this and wonder how they were ever signed off and by whom.

Looks like an old Saab/Buick or a Buick/Saab, I can't decide.

One of the greatest looking car (Aston) and one very ugly car (Porsche). Its simply not fair.

I don't understand your comment. There's not an ugly car in Aston's lineup and for me there isn't a drop dead gorgeous car in the Porsche line up. And if you're buying, there's nothing that requires the purchase of the ugly car. Besides, if you're looking for fair you may be on the wrong planet!

And yet all those lovely Astons can't make a profit and the plain Porsches make for the most profitable car company in the world....

Not only is it unattractive, but they put the motor in the wrong end. I don't like it.

Two quotations come to mind:

"You'll never go broke underestimating the Intelligence of the American Public"

"There's a sucker born every minute"

Re: Panamera battles Rapide at the Ring

I don't get it. How is the Panerama uglier than any other high-end sedan? It has a dang sporty profile, very low to the ground. Also that back almost reminds of a Magnum, almost a wagon even. And I like that the front actually doesn't look like a Beetle. If nothing else, it's a hell of a lot more of a sports car than the Cayenne.

This Porsche is more likely to end up in my garage than the Aston....

Re: Panamera battles Rapide at the Ring

I dunno, that Panamera is pretty hideous looking. It looks so unbalanced, and last minute. Ironic due to the numerous push-backs this program had.

The Porch certainly is a howler, the Aston Beautiful as always. - Perhaps if I win the lottery.
