New G-class

Is this the new G-class or the new Mercedes Grand Cherokee? WTF
I'm not the biggest fan of the current G as I think it's highly overpriced, but this thing is certainly no better.

Re: New G-class

Thats the new G Class!? I like the looks of this one much better than the old one. That said I seriously wonder about its off road ability. The old G Class may have been ugly as sin and extremely overprice but it was an excellent off road vehicle. Will it retain its off road prowess? Its looks a lot more fragile to me....

Re: New G-class

It looks like an M and X5 blend.
I prefer the current G. IT was unique.

Re: New G-class

It lost a lot of its ruggedness, character and uniqueness. However, it still looks very good.

Re: New G-class

As has been said, I really think the new G-class is what the new ML should have been.

Re: New G-class

I want to know why the one on the right is all camoed but the one on the left is completely unadorned. Wierd.

Re: New G-class

So no one else thinks that the side looks just like the new Grand Cherokee?

Re: New G-class

The side-window cutouts are Grand-Cherokee-esque. I like it. And I think it does have a ruggedness to it, despite what others said.

And the last one may have been distinctive, but it had all the visual charisma of a VW Thing.

Re: New G-class

WTF? Wasn't the old G-Klasse a military-looking beast? This is like a spruced up X5. I guess MB thought they had some spots to fill.

Re: New G-class

I really liked the old G, and I don't know why they ruined its entire styling theme to make just-another-SUV. It really, really sucks.

However, I see no Grand Cherokee in its lines.

Hope GM doesn't try this with the H1

But then again, all those cars have "fart burners" on them. That "fart burner" ads 5-10HP to your car ;some of those small Hondas can whip a Vett off the line. (from anti-rice.com)
So 115hp+10hp=430hp, at least in ricerland
