Re: A new Bugatti?

Yeah, let's attack the TT

VW has great experience with attacking themselves, perhaps even bigger than GM in recent years. See VW Golf Plus vs. Seat Altea, last-gen Skoda Octavia vs. VW Golf/Jetta vs. Seat Leon/Toledo vs. Audi A3, VW Polo Classic vs. Seat Coroba etc.

Re: A new Bugatti?

VW attacks themselfs all the time just with Audi and Porsche. I don't even know whats going on over in Europe. But ah that company is more confusing than GM.

Re: A new Bugatti?

Even though the Porsche and Piech families controls a significant part of VW, these are two separate companies.

Still doesn't make sense, why would you own a controlling stake in a company and then make direct attacks on it with your own company.

I agree with Quickening. People say GM has issues...

Re: A new Bugatti?

Yup, VW is much more messed up than GM. They are partially owned by the local government, unions make up half of their supervisory board (German corporate law requirement), all of their brands are European and in many cases overlapping (only Fiat is worse - they own 7 or even more ITALIAN car brands, some fortunately defunct by now).

Nevertheless, Porsche does not compete with VW actually. The Cayenne is close to the Touareg technically, but it's like Escalade and Tahoe (with much more differentiation, different engines save for VR6 etc.) In the sports car department, there isn't much competition.

Great, more foolish competition within their own company. Sounds like a "me too!" from each part to me.

Re: A new Bugatti?

That seems stupid to me... you buy a bugatti for the name. Would you have fun saying your driving a 70k $ Lamborghini??? I mean it makes you TOTALY THE MAN in town to have that 70k $ car!!! Just like that 50K euro Bugatti... I mean WOW, you have a 50 thousand euro car!!

Sorry, but to me it seems like screwing up bugatti! There there for the exotic segment, it's there only reason to even exist... don'T go in something that's not in your range!!

Re: A new Bugatti?

I wouldnt think of it as attacking themselves more as giving people a wider option range with dif body styles good looking car Id like to see a biturbo 3.6 in it though with about 400hp and maybe bump the price a bit so as not to cheapen the product too much.
