For Lancisti: Lancia Phedra Update
Here is a story and some pics from ItaliaSpeed on the updated Phedra.
ItaliaSpeed: Introduction ItaliaSpeed: Styling ItaliaSpeed: Safety ItaliaSpeed: The Range They certainly made enough tweaks to make it look better. The only thing I hate is this move to put all instruments above the center stack. It was there before, but I hate it even more now. Just wish that some of Fiat's products (let alone the entire Lancia lineup, except for the Thesis) would get away from this. Speaking of the Thesis -- with the Ypsilon, Musa, and now Phedra getting decent updates, it makes me wonder why the Thesis isn't getting a major update anytime soon? I know that they have been wondering what to do with it long-term (and there have been rumors that it would move to either the Fiat Croma/Epsilon platform or Alfa's "Premium Platform" one of these days), but certainly in the short term they could give it a nice MCE/update to keep sales moving, no? Just a dam shame if you ask me. Enjoy!

OK, I know I have to reply - otherwise there won't be any replies
![]() Well, it is interesting to see the Lancia styling evolve in a rather unexpected direction... I think now the Fumio design "Lancia J" might be more indicative of Lancia's future than it seemed... I also wonder whether it means we will soon see facelifts for the Ulysse, 807 and C8... Very wise of Fiat to launch Lancia first if so. The Phedra is still a rather attractive means of executive transportation to me. As concerns Thesis - the executive market is hard to crack and it seems Lancia didn't make it this time either. A mild facelift wouldn't help much I guess, and would have to be coupled with copious, high-profile and high-class publicity to be even noticed. I guess Fiat might be right not wanting to splurge on such investment... |

It saddens me to see Lancia so neglected. How could one NOT love a car with Alcantara inside?

The inside on this car is SO cool. I really love Lancia cars for some reason. It'll be interesting to see if they ever come back to the US being that Alfa Romeo will be making a return.
