How did I miss that new A6?
I caught a banner ad for the all-new Audi A6, and the teaser picture intrigued me, so I clicked through to look at it.
![]() MAN that car is PURTY! I can't believe this is the first time I've seen this vehicle, as it already appears to be available and I don't remember reading any spy buzz about it from trade rags and other auto news resources. |

Wow, you didn't hear anything about it? It was in basically all the car mags a couple of months ago! :p

The interior looks like it's made out of Playdoe.
Surprisingly there really wasn't too much buzz about this new A6. IMO the exterior looks classy and business like.

THe interior has quality materials and a good touch and feel, but it looks like a modernized dash from a 1970's car. IT'S AWFUL.
The exterior is a slight facelift and essentially nothing to write home about.

The interior design doesn't appeal to me, but I'm sure it's made of very high-quality materials. As usual, I'll reserve final judgment until I sit in one because we all know many cars look better in person than in pictures! As for the exterior, I like it...very elegant and professional at the same time.

Ah, I like this. Couldn't stand the huge grille when I first saw it, but I really like the look of the car now. And I think that interior is fantastic. I really never like wood trim, but I could live with that. I love that the chrome ring in the steering wheel mimnics the grille surround. Pretty slick!

Every time I see Audi's now I think of the Ford 500 now. Ford is really styling Audi's styling cues. Especially the 2007 Mondeo it even has the same front fascia. They just replaced the rings with a Blue Oval.

I saw this car in person at Laguna Seca a couple weeks ago. The interior looks very nice; well ahead of my parents' A6. I'm not a big fan of the "fish mouth," but overall I think the car looks excellent. Although I don't know it I'd like have the fish mouth on the steering wheel reminding me of the one on the front of the car, but that's really a minor complaint.
The one at the track was 3.2 FSI quattro. The motor has direct injection much like the common rail diesels that have come on the market over the past few years. Supposedly it boosts power and fuel economy by about 10%. Not something most people would notice or care about, but I think it's pretty cool. Also, I sat in a STS while I was there, and GM has done an unbelievable job. The materials quality is top notch for about 95% of the parts. The dash has a thick feel like a MB when you touch it, and the leather feels better than any GM leather I've ever seen. Not quite to an Audi or MB level, but far closer than any GM before. About the A6, if you think the grille looks bad, just wait to see it with an American front plate.

Every time I see the A6 I fall in love with it. Gosh, that car is sweet. The interior. The exterior. The engine. Everything. I must make my background look like that car, because Audi sure did something good! Good job Audi. Now, hopefully it will sell good.

I ussually like Audi interiors, but that does nothing for me. What is the pricetag on one of these?
