Re: Does ant have a Smart Car?

I think Rex(?) has one. One of the admin does for sure, I know that. My parents saw one, I haven't, they thought it was a funny looking little thing, but, they know it's one of the best on gas and if there weren't so many pickups, SUVs, etc on the road, getting one wouldn't be a half bad idea.

Re: Does ant have a Smart Car?

I have a 2005 Smart fortwo convertible.
I've had it for 2 months now, and so far I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

Let me know any specific questions you may have.

Re: Does anyone have a Smart Car?

I have a Black/Silver passion.

I have the upgraded speakers, that's about the only option.

There is a VERY long waiting list right now. I was lucky, and didn't have to wait at all. I leased mine through a leasing agent, not through Mercedes directly.

I live quite close to work, so Monday's snow wasn't really an issue for me. But I would recommend winter tires. This year, I'll be ok as the all-seasons are new, but I'll buy them for sure next year.

With the roof totally down, the convertible is no windier than any other convertible (I've had a mustang, sebring and fiat convertible before). With the roof up, it's not windy at all.
I own a drive through car wash, and there are no leaks or anything when it goes through.

It's a 22 litre tank. I usually fill it up around 17 litres (that's when the low fuel light comes on). I get about 280kms (almost all city, and hard driving (I drive fast)) per tank. Fuel mileage is supposed to get better as the engine breaks in more (I only have 2500kms on it).

So far, I quite enjoy the car. It's great for business. I have my company logo, etc... on it, and I park it on the sidewalk in front of my store every day. It draws a crowd for sure.

Many people have never seen anything like it.

Re: Does anyone have a Smart Car?

sounds like a good deal Rex. I'd like to get the sleeker sportier smart. Can't remember the name but it isn't offered in Canada yet.

How are parking lots?? Since the car is so small and everything else so big, has your car been almost hit due to a driver pulling into a spot and not realizing your car is there??

So lets see. Toyota lied about recalls. Lied about their HP ratings... I wonder how much truth is in their milage ratings..

Re: Does anyone have a Smart Car?

Guess that was a mis-fire then , 9 12 hour work days and caffine jitters do that lol. Ive seen smart cars with a companys logo wrapped all over it and it definatly catches attention. Not a bad way to advertise.
