That new C63 is a monster!

I wonder if you could chip the thing to produce the full 500hp made in other AMG products?

Either way that cars pretty dam sharp..

How did the Audi and the M3 do in acceleration?

Which handled best?

braking?

Ride ?

Prices? (60s?)

I like the M3 out of the 3, but the C63 seems amazing too.

The AMG is pretty close to the M3 after you get rid of the subjective points. 168 for the M3 and 165 for the AMG.

How do you think the Lexus IS F figures in?

and does the AWD Audi have an advantage that no magazine tests tend to acknowledge? AWD would make the Audi a year rounder but maybe those in this price range also have an SUV for winter weather conditions?

I don't think AWD is an advantage in this league, except in wet weather...it adds weight and the Audi already suffers from poor (i.e., front-biased) weight distribution. Having said that, I find the Audi to be incredibly attractive, with its subtle styling, gorgeous interior and all-year drivability.

From a performance standpoint in the dry I am sure your right...

In the marketplace though I believe AWD will have greater sales penetration..

I know AWD was a big reason I was attracted to the new 304 hp CTS.

Had it not been available as an option I would not have purchased the vehicle.. as the wife wanted AWD for the family vehicle..

If I were to opt up to these mega hp sports sedans..AWD would have had to been an option for me to buy one..

Same would have been said if it were a mercedes, BMW or Lexus..

Just my opinion but many people shopping have the same concerns.

Lows of over the top styling on the C63 is subjective and should not be a a low. Also, aren't we comparing the M3 coupe to two sedans? I htink we should do another comparo when the M3 sedan comes out.

I'd still take an RS4 Avant, the M3 won't appeal until it comes as a
sedan or a wagon (The former happening early next year) and the C's problem is that it lacks a manual.

That C63 is a beast. I've never cared much for Mercedes, in fact I can't think of a single previous model benz I care for, but I love that C63. I wonder how the next CTS-V will compare with these cars.

Car and Driver wrote they will do a comparison of the M3 with the CTS-V and IS-F when they become available.

Notice that the cars have German license plates, so obviously they tested the European versions. And there is currently no Lexus IS-F or Cadillac CTS-V in Europe.
