Bugatti planning a 1232 Bhp, 272 Mph Veyron GT.

Just when you thought the Veyron was already bloody overpriced...they decided to kick the price in nearly 100K more.

OMG!!!

Re: Buggati planning a 1232 Bhp, 272 Mph Veyron GT.

According to that the standard Veyron has only 987 horsepower. I though it had 1,001 hp. So to get it up to 1,232 hp, what are they going to do? Bore the cylinders? Add direct injection? A 5th turbo? A bottle of juice? Or are they going to do like ToyoHonda and just increase the numbers on paper and give the 'new' setup a fancy name like OverKillTec?

The difference between 987hp and 1,001hp is the rating system....just like Honda and Toyota. The system used to measure horsepower at Honda and Toyota wasn't the recent SAE standard, but anti-Honda/Toyota people keep claiming it was "lying," which it wasn't.

Same thing with the Bugatti. The 1,001hp rating is the DIN (European) standard while 987hp is the SAE (American) standard. Neither is wrong (actually, both are said to be low).

I have heard a few rumors that they are to make a sedan version of the Veron, I didn't buy them though.

Ya, I know about the different rating systems. I guess my sarcasm didn't show through the way I intended. Oh well. However, my original question still stands.

BTW. The only Bugatti with 1001 hp or 987 hp that exist in the US is here in Miami and I saw it. Some rich person bought it. I'll try to get some pics.

does it really matter if it's 987 or 1001? it's so ****************ing fast.

and it's more Aerodynamic than a Truck (no offence).

Re: Bugatti planning a 1232 Bhp, 272 Mph Veyron GT.

since there owned by VW and the way they have added HP in the past to there turbo cars the 1.8T for instence 150hp to 225hp has different turbo, Bigger injectors, bigger intercooler, and a different computer program. and 9.3/1 where the 150hp has a lil higher compression 9.5/1 so in otherwords add some more boost to the thing but do it in a way that its still reliable. oh yeah SWEET GOD THATS FAST!!!!!
