Hmmm, not sure this is a good idea. I don't really see the need, and it looks like they're diluting the Porsche brand with too many products.

The Cayenne lets them make stuff like the GT2. If this lets them make more cars like that, I have no issue with it. They are a far far way from diluting their brand in any way.

I see many of them cruising at my town's shopping malls car parks driven by 50+ rich soccer moms that have nothing better to do at nine o'clock in the morning than watching shop exhibitions.

I believe they have already diluted it. If they are going to build a Porsche for every Audi (as they are building an Audi for every second VW, but now on separate platforms for whatever reason, certainly on economics), they risk cannibalization. GM did it for many decades, but found there is only limited (also in time) interest in American cars. Same for German cars. I'd rather they did something with Seat, they are heading the way of the dodo with their awfukl designs.
