I'm sure Audi is going to offer more power in the vehicle, and looking at the interior, I can bet that the Q7 is going to get the MMI system. I've tested out the MMI system (when I got a drive in the A6 in July), and it is very nice and easy to use. It is very easy to use. Cadillac doesn't offer a system like this. Even with voice recognition, they're are a lot of complex buttons to click on Cadillac's. I know: I own one.
Why does Cadillac need a little mouse/spin wheel MMI/iDrive type system?? All you need is a competent touch screen LCD.... which is what the Cadillacs have.
You don't think there are a lot of buttons on the Q7? Look again. Plus the interior design is just wretched. The entire dash is just disjointed and busy. Look at the gaps. It's horrendous. Why anyone would find this attractive is beyond me. Not that the SRX fares any better... but I'll bet the Q7 does one-up the SRX in materials.

This is just another case of the VW looking better than the Audi brand.
And it speaks to the inherent problem at VW that no one is adressing.

Exactly! I have noticed that VW has been trying over the past 5 years to be Audi. Almost totally disregarding overlap. The interiors on VW's are on par with Audi in clean lines and quality now. The exterior designs of the Passat, Touareg and Jetta all ape Audi's handsome clean look that has been it's trademark since the 80's.

Now this latest generation of Audi's has abandoned the beautiful interiors they once designed with a disjointed and heavy handed look that I know VW pushed Audi into. Even the exterior design has become a bit heavy and definitely busier.

I don't know how VW thinks it can sell the Phaeton and other $40,000+ cars/SUVs and not bump head to head with Audi. If Audi wasn't so popular one would think VW is trying to phase the brand out.

Overall, I'm unimpressed. The exterior is okay, but I don't like the look of the interior.

I will admit that, looking at that interior shot of the SRX after viewing the Q7, I felt for the first time disgusted with the CTS / SRX interior.

Trust me, MMI is a lot easier than some of you think, especially when scrolling through menus. Plus, it's worlds ahead of BMW's dreaded iDrive in ease of use.

Re: Audi Q7 Official Pictures...

Exterior wise very nice, but the SRX is much more beautiful in my eyes. Inside, it CRUSHES the SRX. The SRX is actually one of my favorite vehicles (I love wagons and those alike) but I really hope they get the interior right when it is redesigned. Same goes for all of the other Caddys.

Re: Audi Q7 Official Pictures...

Wow, Edmunds says it is going to start at $60,000!!!!!
That is steep. Edmunds says it will have a TDI V-6 producing a standard 233 horsepower and a V-8 that makes 350 horsepower. This thing better be good, or that price is gonna kill it!!!

Re: Audi Q7 Official Pictures...

hmmm...i love it and all, but...the overall design looks a little bit...bloated? don't get me wrong, but everything seems a little bit too curvy in front, the headlights look too small, i dunno, something like that...it looks better than anyother SUV in this class i think, but it also looks like audi left some room for a redesign not too long from now

Tough times are ahead. A brand new car is not in the cards. My new (to me) 16 year old Accord serves the purpose extremely well. And it's paid off!

I have quite a doubt that it will start in the 60Ks since the G-Class/R-Class are going to start out 10K cheaper.

60.000K ?! It's better be EXCELLENT for that sort of price!

60.000K for the V8 version or the V6 TDi?

Either way, still Overpriced.

Aside that, I still like, the looks of it, and the Interior looks fine IMO.

At that price, you might as well get a Cayenne.

M/G/R-class will start lower than that. LR3 starts lower than that. SRX starts lower than that. X5 starts lower than that.

Let Audi price itself out of the market. The less luxury competitors... the better it is for GM.

Re: Audi Q7 Official Pictures...

I like where Audi is going with their styling, their interior's look great, their exteriors are better than they have been for a long time and I think they are the nicest german car you can get compared to a decade or two ago when they were thought of by some as the worst thing that came out of germany since Hitler.

I think only MGESCURO can see Gaps...Honestly, I can't spot any gap in that Beautifully put-together Interior.

But then, I don't have "Super-Ultra Vision" like MGESCURO...maybe his real name is "Clark Kent"...
